Chapter One Pinch me. After two years of wanting Drake Devereaux, Destiny Jones was actually on a date with the sexiest man alive. At least she thought they were on a date. He said he wanted to discuss a few things with her and suggested they meet at the Mountain View Bar & Grill, which happened to be the nicest place to take someone in Pleasure, Montana. The fact that he was still wearing his suit, though, implied this might be business. Damn. What she wouldn’t give to see him in a pair of faded jeans, worn boots, and a flannel shirt opened at his throat instead of the silk tie and worsted wool jacket. He was such a handsome man. The only things that marred his good looks were the tension lines on his forehead and the faint crow’s-feet beginning to emerge along his eyes. Since she’d been in self-imposed witness protection for eighteen months, the recent changes seemed more dramatic. It was no surprise he appeared a bit older than thirty-five. Drake Devereaux had had a lot of tragedy in his life. After his wife had been murdered, Destiny had spent countless hours guiding Drake on how to handle his son who’d lost his mom. She’d wanted to help Drake deal with the tragedy, too, but she had no

idea how. He’d told her he felt responsible for his wife’s death, but that all he needed was to make sure his son survived the loss. He leaned against the bar and tipped back his beer. Even the way the liquid slid down his throat was sexy. It made a girl want to jump on his lap and give him a kiss. But she wouldn’t. Drake was too reserved. At least he had been in front of the jury when he’d prosecuted Tony DeLuza for murder. He waved the drink at her. “I wanted to say thank you for being such an incredible witness at the trial. Without your testimony, we wouldn’t have won the murder case.” Is that why he’d asked her out? To thank her? He’d done that already in Bozeman. “It wasn’t like I wanted to see a kid I went to grade school with shoot and kill his bookie.” He rubbed her arm and sparks of excitement shot from her elbow to her fingers. “I know it’s been tough on you.” She wrapped her hands around her Coke as if it were a life ring and forced herself to think of how to answer him instead of how her body reacted to his mere presence. “I think the worst part was when Tony turned around after blowing the man’s head off and stared right at me with those dark, beady eyes.” A shiver crawled up her spine at the image that was permanently burned into her brain. Drake withdrew his hand and peeled the paper off the bottom of the beer label using his thumbnail. “You were damned lucky he didn’t catch you.” Did his voice just shake and catch? “You can say that again.” Since her move back, they hadn’t had a chance to talk about the whole event. Other than to find out what she planned to say on the stand, he’d kept his distance. It was nice to finally be able to relax and just talk. Drake placed his hand over hers. The intimate act sent tingles along her whole body. “It’s all over now. You can get your life back.” He squeezed. The firmness of his grip radiated up her arm and into her heart. He cared.

She swiveled on her bar chair to face him. “I’m just glad you insisted I get out of town. I’m not sure I would have left on my own. I really didn’t want to leave my job.” His lips softened. “It’s good you were sensible and listened to my suggestion.” She trusted him, but leaving the man she’d fallen in love with had been hard. At least he’d written. “I have to tell you that the letters you and Kurt wrote were my lifelines.” She’d wanted to write about how much his correspondence meant, but she didn’t have the courage. How could she tell a man she’d never kissed that she loved him, but that she also loved his brother due in large part to what they’d written on paper? Kurt was shorter than Drake but just as good-looking. Because Kurt loved the outdoors, he was packed with more muscles than the workaholic brother. Where Drake had a strong jaw and deep-set, whiskey-brown eyes, Kurt was more fair with deep, chocolate eyes. One thing was certain, both men’s images could fill a GQ magazine. He smiled. “I figured you’d want to know what was happening back home.” “I did.” Along with how you were doing. For the third time tonight, he glanced at his cell phone that rested on the bar. That didn’t make her feel special, but at least he was still here. They’d spent the first hour talking about the murder case he’d prosecuted. Drake had been brilliant. No, more than brilliant. Any other attorney would have lost the case, but Drake knew how to draw the emotion from a jury. “So how’s Charley? I bet he’s grown a ton.” She adored the eight-year-old but hadn’t seen him since her return. He glanced off to the side. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to see you.” Her insides dropped. So this wasn’t a date. Damn. Here, she’d lain awake all night thinking about where the night would end. “He’s not adjusting well?” So much for spending money she couldn’t afford on

a new sexy top and to-die-for lingerie. “Not really. Your suggestion to have my brother move in and help with Charley was a godsend. But here’s my problem. Kurt’s telecommuting job may end as early as January. If the promotion comes through, he’ll be moving to Great Falls.” “Oh, no.” She’d dreamed about Kurt almost as much as Drake. Where Drake was always serious, Kurt was the jokester. “He’ll at least be still in state.” So what if it was a three-hour drive. It wasn’t the end of the world. Or was it? Drake dragged a hand down his jaw. “That’ll mean Charley will be by himself after school.” She knew a lot of latchkey kids who had no problem occupying themselves for a few hours before a parent returned home. “Charley will be fine.” She sipped her Coke, thinking of a solution for the man who seemed too stressed for his own good. “Maybe you could talk to his teacher and see if he could stay a little extra after school.” His smile came out brighter than a full moon. “That’s a great idea.” He checked his cell phone, as if he was praying it would ring and give him an excuse to cut the date short. Sure, she was thrilled she’d been able to help, but now was the time to test the waters. She really wanted to see him again and go on a real date, one that didn’t focus on his work. With one elbow on the bar, she leaned closer to him. “Does the Mountain View still have a band every month?” She had no idea if anything had changed after she moved. He shrugged. “I have no idea. I’ve either been with Charley or at work.” Figures. She tried to look coy. “You do know the old saying, ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.’” He chuckled and leaned back, looking more comfortable than he had all night. “You sound like Kurt. What I’ve told him is that I need to provide for my son. If I don’t work, I don’t make money.” “Excuses, excuses.” If his grand home was any indication, along

with his fancy car, he wasn’t hurting for dough. She’d always thought he was still reeling from the murder and was burying himself in his work. “Well, if you ever feel like getting out and loosening up, give me a call.” “I’ll keep that in mind, but when it comes to dancing, I pretty much suck.” “Somehow, I doubt that.” Anyone who moved like melted chocolate over an ice cream sundae had to be good on the dance floor. Someone tapped her on the shoulder. “Destiny?” She turned around and opened her arms to engulf one of the women who worked at her old school. “How are you?” “Me? Same ole, same ole.” She glanced at Drake. “I don’t want to interrupt your date, but stop by sometime so we can catch up. You look great.” “Thanks.” Her former coworker waddled off. She turned back to Drake. “Sorry.” “No problem. I’m sure the whole town is excited to see you return.” That was nice of him to say. Despite ingesting a lot of caffeine, she failed to stifle a yawn. Drake asked for the check. “I’m sorry I talked all about me. Have you found a job yet?” “Not really. The school asked if I’d be a substitute elementary teacher, but given it’s December, it doesn’t seem likely a position will open up until next fall.” “You’ll find something.” He checked his phone again. “It’s getting late, and I have to get up early for work.” It was only nine, but he did work an hour away in Bozeman. “I’m the one who’s sorry.” If she hadn’t yawned, he might not have noticed the time. “I haven’t gotten over the jet lag.” Drake paid the bill then helped her into her coat. After spending nearly two years in Florida, she almost forgot how much clothing one needed to survive a Montana winter.

“I want to follow you home,” he said. An instant image of her spread-eagle on her bed with his lusciously muscular body on top flashed in her mind. Too bad her brain and tongue weren’t coordinated. “Why?” He chuckled and her body nearly melted at the sound. “The roads are slick, and you aren’t used to driving in snow?” “You might be right.” Too bad he didn’t have another reason. Men who wanted to protect a woman always wormed their way into her heart. She only lived ten minutes from town, and his house was farther down the same road. “I’d appreciate that.” On the way out, he stopped to talk to the mayor about the DeLuza case. The man always seemed to be in work mode. What she wouldn’t give to have his focus on fun. Or me. Outside, the winds were swirling. “It smells like it might snow.” She shivered and he wrapped an arm around her shoulder. When he pulled her close against him, excitement raced through her. Maybe he did like her. He took her key, opened her car, and held open the door. She couldn’t remember the last time anyone had done that for her. She slid in and another chill snuck up her jacket. She started the engine, but it took a few tries to catch. With one eye on the rearview mirror to make sure he got into his car, she cranked the heat dial to high. The cold engine blew out icy air. “Brr.” Why again did she leave warm, sunny, Florida? Because she loved her hometown more. And she wanted to see Drake and, yes, zany Kurt again. Drake slipped out of his car and stood facing the opposite direction. What was he doing? When she opened her door, a man was shouting at someone a half a block from the Mountain View. She wanted to see what was going on. Drake spun around. “Stay there.” She wanted to ask what he was going to do, but in her heart she knew. He protected victims, even though most of his were already

dead. Drake sped across to the dark side of the street and edged along the storefronts. While she couldn’t hear what the man was saying to the woman, he had pushed her. The woman had her hands up in protective mode as if she feared he’d seriously harm her. Destiny’s heart nearly broke. When she spotted Drake, he’d circled behind the man. Oh, no. If anything happened to him, it would be like watching Tony DeLuza murder his bookie all over again. She couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. She crossed the street and took out her phone, ready to call for help. The sheriff’s office was past the Mountain View, and she couldn’t reach the station without passing the altercation. A loud crunch sounded. The woman screamed and crumpled against the car. The man’s fist was cocked back, ready to beat her again when Drake snuck up behind the man and kicked him in the back of the knees. The man dropped to the ground on his hands. Between the woman’s whimpering and the man’s curses, she couldn’t tell what exactly was happening. Destiny wanted to rush down the street to see if Drake was okay, but there was no way she’d get in between the two men. The man on the ground started to get up, and Drake hit the man in the head with his open palm. The man grunted and collapsed onto the ground. The woman dropped to her knees and tried to console the downed man. What was up with that? Destiny wanted to clap and shout to the world that her hero had vanquished that ass. Instead, she rushed over to Drake, who was staring down at the man on the ground. Drake glanced back. “I thought I told you to stay in the car.” While his tone held more concern than anger, it was clear he wished she’d stayed away. “You did, but when I saw you had everything under control, I came over to see what I could do.” He wrapped an arm around her shoulder and nodded. “Help her.” She didn’t recognize the man or woman. Destiny touched the

woman’s shoulder. “Ma’am? Do you need help?” The woman looked up, and it took all of Destiny’s control not to gasp. Her left eye was swollen shut and her lip was bleeding. This abuser had roughed her up pretty bad. Given it was dark, and the only light came from a few streetlights and some shop lights, it was hard to tell how old she was. From the style of her clothing and her natural blonde hair, Destiny guessed she was in her midthirties. “I’m okay.” She waved Destiny’s hand away. “Frank just had a little too much to drink.” Drake grunted. “No man has the right to hit a woman.” His vehemence took Destiny by surprise. He opened the backseat of the man’s car, lifted the deadweight, and placed him inside. Drake then helped the woman up. “I can drive you home.” “You’ve done enough.” She sniffled. “I don’t drive, but I’ll call my sister to take me home.” “You sure? It won’t be a problem.” She shook her head. “No. I’ll be fine. Nothing’s broken. This will heal in a couple of days.” She clasped Drake’s arm. “Thank you.” This woman must have been harmed before if she knew how long it took for her facial wounds to heal. Dear God, what kind of life had she led? He retrieved a business card from his suit jacket and handed the victim his card. “If you need an attorney and can’t afford one, call me.” She nodded and stuffed the card in her pocket. “Frank going to be okay?” “He’ll have a headache when he wakes up.” She ran a finger across her cut lip, looked both ways, then crossed the street. Wow. Chalk one up for the good guys. “Do you know them?” “No, but I’m betting she won’t press charges. Battered women

often don’t.” His gaze remained on the woman until she ducked into the restaurant. He put his arm around Destiny’s waist. She did a quick glance to his face. “I forgot to ask. Are you okay?” He chuckled. “Never better. Now where were we?” When he smiled, her heart sang. “Taking me home?” His touch bolstered her mood. “Right. Home.” They walked the block to her car. “One other thing.” He turned her shoulders toward him. “Yeah?” He leaned closer. “When I tell you to stay where you are, I mean it. It was lucky I disabled him before he saw me. If he hadn’t been so focused on hurting that woman, we might have gotten into a fight. If that ever happens again, I want you as far away from the danger as possible.” He tilted up her chin. “Got it?” She got it loud and clear. He wanted to protect her. It also meant there might be other dates. “Yes, sir!” He smiled and tapped her nose. “Get in and drive carefully. I’ll be right behind you.” Once his headlights turned on, she pulled out. When she arrived at her drive, she cut the engine and rolled down the window to wave. Since he’d seemed in a hurry to get home, she expected him to drive off. Instead, he got out and came toward her. Adrenaline woke her up. Was he going to kiss her good night, or had he forgotten to ask her something? Wishing for the kiss-ending scenario, her body shot into fullblown lust mode, which happened to be mixed with some panic. She hadn’t had sex in so long, she wasn’t sure her body parts would even work. Wanting to be face-to-face and give the sex stuff a try, she scooted out of the car. He trotted up to her. “I wanted to say how much I enjoyed our date tonight.” He waved a hand. “Other than the part where I had to break up the fight.”

In her opinion, his heroic deed might have been the best part, especially since the fight had ended positively. Seeing Drake shoot into action made her proud. “Me, too.” Without any warning, he leaned over and kissed her. The force from his body pressed her against the car. His lips and nose only had a slight chill to them, but when he leaned his chest against hers, she swore she could sense the masculine heat rolling off him. Maybe he, too, had adrenaline rushing through his system, or leftover testosterone. He cupped her face. She closed her eyes to memorize and immortalize their first kiss. Her knees almost buckled from the electric current igniting her body. Her hands magically found his shoulders, and his palms worked their way down to her rear. He tugged her close and opened his mouth to invite her in. Was this heaven or what? Suddenly, the air seemed to warm and her world narrowed to just the two of them. She closed her eyes and opened up to receive him. The moment his tongue touched hers, moisture dampened her panties. The intensity of the kiss turned her on something fierce. It was almost as if he, too, couldn’t get enough of her. She wanted to slip her fingers under his coat then under his shirt to touch his body, but she didn’t dare. He was the type of man to need the control. He pulled back for a moment. One hand moved to cup her face again. His thumb brushed against her lips. Her heart raced. “You want to come in?” Had she really said that? “Yes.” Really? Her mouth turned dry. Before he changed his mind, she hooked her arm around his elbow and walked with him to the front porch, trying not to pull him too fast. She fumbled with the key, and he stilled her hand. “Let me.” Oh, boy, was she a mess or what? He led her inside. Now what? Should she drag him to the bedroom, offer him something to drink, or just undress him in the foyer?
Destiny’s Desire

Fortunately, Drake seemed to know what to do. He threaded his fingers through her hair and kissed her again. Not only did he taste like fresh brewed hops, his skin smelled fresh. His lips fit perfectly to hers. With their mouths in total contact, he shrugged out of his coat. Her knees weakened at the implication. He wanted her. My God. She did the same, letting her coat drop to the ground, along with her purse. “You taste good,” he said as he dragged kisses down her neck. She never expected Drake to be so full of passion. His reserved attitude made him appear even distant, but she definitely could get used to this side of him. Boy, could she. He slid his hands down her arms. “I want to see all of you.” Electric sparks pricked every nerve and her throat nearly closed up. “Me, too. I mean I’d really like to see you.” Naked. God. She sounded like an idiot. In one pull, he lifted her shirt over her head. Thank God she’d worn her lace push-up bra. She inhaled to make her breasts look fuller. “Nice.” He smiled and she thought her heart would jump out of her chest. His thumbs brushed each bra cup. Even through the thick material, tingles raced through her body. She wanted to strip him naked. What’s stopping you? Nothing. She lifted his tie and unthreaded the knot. His hands undressing her got in the way of her taking off his tie. While she’d always dreamed of spending time stripping him before making slow, seductive love, the two years of wanting him had driven her need skyhigh. By the time she got his tie off, he’d lowered the straps on her bra and was sucking her nipples. Her pulse raced. His tongue made her panties wetter. God, all she wanted was his hard cock driving into her. His cell rang. She stilled, praying he wouldn’t answer it. His mouth left her nipple and he stepped back. Shit. He held up a finger. “Hold that thought. Devereaux.”
18
Melody S. Monroe
Who would call this late at night? Feeling stupid standing in front of him with her wet tits exposed, she dragged the bra straps up to her shoulders. His conversation ended and his jaw hardened. “I’m so sorry. There’s been a new development on the case.” He looked down to the side for a moment, as if he was hiding something. “I have to work on this. I’m going to trial tomorrow.” “Sure. I understand.” No she didn’t. What kind of man turns down sex? A workaholic, that’s who. Or else he was running away from something. He kissed her lightly. “A rain check?” “Absolutely.” Her voice failed to hold any enthusiasm, her disappointment so intense. He picked up his tie, stuffed it in his pocket, and shrugged on his coat. “Thanks again.” When he walked out, the cold air rushed in, chilling not only her body but her soul. How bad was this? She was in her bra, horny as hell with no relief in sight. Maybe she’d have that drink now and see if she could locate the vibrator she’d not yet unpacked. **** Sunlight speared the window and pierced her closed eyes. Destiny rolled over, not ready to get out of bed. The phone rang. She cracked open a lid and checked the time. It was too late for a call for her to substitute, and it sure as hell wasn’t Drake. He’d be at work. Since he had to be in court all day, he wouldn’t have time to talk on the phone. She reached across her bed and answered. “Hello.” “Destiny, good morning. This is Walter Mitchell.” Oh, shit. Her old principal was calling. “Hello, sir. Good to hear your voice.” She sat up and ran a hand through her hair. Why bother? She wasn’t on videophone, and it wasn’t as if Drake was next to her, naked and alluring.
Destiny’s Desire

“First off, welcome back.” “Thanks. It’s good to be back.” Yada, yada. Since her arrival she’d run into dozens of old friends and had to deliver the same message about how much she enjoyed coming home. That much, at least, was true. “The reason for my call is that Tanya Darden’s husband has been transferred out of state.” She was the school’s third grade teacher. “I’m sorry to hear that.” “What I’m wondering is if you’d be interested in taking her place?” Her heart raced. Teaching third grade would be quite a change from first, but she needed a job. The biggest downer about leaving town in the first place had been giving up her job. “That sounds wonderful. When would she be moving?” She did a mental calculation how long her funds would last. “Her husband has already relocated. Would Monday be too soon for you to get ready?” Yikes! She’d have to get up to speed on the curriculum. She could do it. “No, sir. That would be great.” “Tanya is more than willing to meet with you to go over her lesson plans.” “I’ll give her a call.” “Again, welcome back, Destiny.” She held the phone in her hand long after he disconnected. She couldn’t believe her good luck. She’d worried about having to leave Pleasure in the first place, because when she returned there was no guarantee she’d find a job. A town with only one thousand residents didn’t have a lot of openings. “Oh, shit.” Charley would be her student. That meant her possibly-going-somewhere relationship with Drake Devereaux would no longer be possible. When she’d taught his son two years ago, he’d acted interested but had never given her any kind of hint he was willing to go out with her. She figured his straitlaced morals
20

prevented him from dating his son’s first grade teacher. Or was he mourning his wife’s death too much back then? Somehow, she had to figure out a way to get him to break his moral code.

Chapter Two These last two weeks of preparing for her class had been so hectic Destiny hadn’t dwelled on the loss of Drake Devereaux, the man she’d dreamed of for over two years. Yes, she was disappointed the so-called rain check never materialized, but that was okay. He was busy with his trial, and she needed to concentrate on staying above water. Sure, she’d relived the almost-sex they’d had, but she had to put her issues aside and concentrate on her job. Her one hope was that she didn’t run into him at school. Even though Drake Devereaux was focused on his job, he always made time for his son. With Christmas break coming up, she didn’t anticipate seeing him anytime soon. For the time being, that would be a good thing. Her emotions were still too raw at the sort-of rejection. Before Tanya moved, the former third grade teacher had been wonderful about helping to come up with lesson plans for the remainder of the semester. If Destiny could just make it to the holidays, she’d feel good about the transition from first grade teacher to third. The kids were in the lunchroom, and she was on her way to the faculty room to get some coffee when the second grade teacher rushed up to her. “Are you ready for the children’s Christmas party tonight?” Destiny laughed. “Ready? No. Excited to pass out gifts to all the kids? Absolutely.” Each class had to make a present that would be given to another class. “What did your kids make?” “We created hand puppets out of socks. They came out so cute. The kids had a little trouble sewing on the buttons, but they had so
22
Melody S. Monroe
much fun gluing on different-colored hair. What did you have them do?” “Tanya had already started the kids working on Christmas tree ornaments. We got some Styrofoam, cut out stars and candy cane shapes, and painted them. Some look so good, I’d like to have one for my tree.” Assuming she had time to put one up. “Have you picked up your elf costume yet?” She groaned. Destiny hadn’t been excited about prancing around in green tights and wearing a funky, pointy hat, but it was what she had to wear if she wanted to play Santa’s helper. She could only hope Drake wouldn’t be there. Looking foolish wouldn’t help her get him into bed. “I picked up the costume two days ago.” If she’d had time, she would have made the outfit, and rest assured, it wouldn’t have had a top that barely covered her butt. “I heard Kurt Devereaux volunteered to take pictures of the kids sitting on Santa’s lap. He’s going to get the prints developed and give a photo to each family. Isn’t that something?” Her gaze traveled upward as if she were dreaming of sitting on Kurt’s lap. Truth be told, she had often wondered what it would be like to go out with him. He was great with kids and had a fun-loving spirit about him. Having a good time always seemed to top his list of things to do. When he moved, she’d miss him. Be honest. The depression would hit her hard. “That’s very generous of him.” “You can say that again. Well, I’ll let you go. I’m on the decorating committee. Wait until you see the gym. The parent volunteers have done an amazing job, but there’s a ton of last-minute stuff to do.” “I bet. Bye.” Destiny got her coffee and headed back to the lunchroom. It wasn’t her day to chaperone the kids, but she enjoyed watching them interact. Once school ended, she went home to get ready for the big event.
Destiny’s Desire

The party didn’t start until six to give parents time to get home and feed the kids, but she had other chores she needed to attend to. After making several adjustments to her costume, she twirled in front of the mirror. The green elf hat complemented her shoulderlength red hair, but she still looked dumb. The top came to the middle of her hips and the green elf boots were not for walking in the snow. She hoped the weather cooperated and she didn’t have to march through slush. Even though this was just a school affair, she put on extra makeup as Kurt would be there. A few times he’d shown up for a parent meeting when Drake couldn’t make it. He seemed interested in asking her out but never did. She told herself Drake probably forbade it. She wondered if Drake would come tonight. Despite it being a work night, he might make the time. What parent would want to miss seeing his son experience such joy? Unless he was going head-tohead with some bad guy, taking him down with a swipe of a leg or the heel of his hand, he’d probably do his best to make an appearance. Enough dreaming. Time to go. She pulled on her coat, gathered the extra toys she’d bought for the kids, and headed over to Phillips Elementary. When she got there, the parking lot was packed. Yay! The kids were going to have so much fun, and if Santa showed up, this would be a night to remember. Two years ago, Santa had gotten drunk and missed the entire affair. The principal stepped in to take his place, but once the kids recognized the small, skinny man, their joy had evaporated. She rushed inside to get out of the cold. Wow. The parent volunteers, along with some of the teachers, had gone all out. There were snowflakes dangling from the rafters and paper candy canes taped all around the walls. The lights were slightly dimmed, accentuating the blinking lights rimming the stage. Off to the side was a large Christmas tree with way more presents than she thought possible. Most were the ones the students made. She could tell which was which since they were all wrapped in newspaper. About fifty

more were wrapped in pretty Christmas paper. Where had they come from? Maybe the real Santa had made a visit. She placed her few gifts under the tree and looked around. A seat for Santa had been made from wooden crates and was covered in red velvet. She spotted Kurt immediately. He was taking photos of the empty throne. A few kids were waiting behind a ropedoff area near where Santa would greet them. Wanting to see if Kurt needed help, she waltzed over. “Hi.” She wasn’t sure how he would receive her, but she certainly didn’t expect the long, hot once-over. Nor did she expect him to pick her up and swing her around. “Mr. Devereaux!” She laughed at his antics. What would the kids say if they saw her? He tapped the top of her hat. “Hello to you. I love your elf outfit, Ms. Jones. You look adorable.” She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been called that endearment. She wasn’t particularly short at five foot five, and even though she was slim, being twenty-seven years old should have taken her out of the adorable stage. “Your summer tan suits you well. In fact, you look more relaxed than ever.” Working alongside her sister in Florida had been nice. “Thanks. Can I help with anything?” “Well, I’m just taking a few shots to get the metering right, but at the strike of six, the hordes will be allowed to tell Santa their secret wishes.” He grinned then stepped back. “You care to be my model? I need to make sure the lighting is right for skin tones. The red flashing lights over there aren’t helping.” She loved the thought of posing. “Sure. Where do you want me?” Instead of just pointing to the throne, he led her over to the area. “Hop on up.” Once she was seated, he fussed with her outfit. She wasn’t prepared for the effect his hands had on her body. Thrills tripped up

her arms. What was wrong with her? Yes, she adored both him and his brother, but should she get the same thrill when each man touched her? Apparently so. “This hat needs to be tilted down a bit.” He lifted her chin with his forefinger and at least pretended to study her face. “You bring a comb?” She looked a mess? “No.” “Never mind. Elves shouldn’t be perfect. After all, they’ve flown in on an open sleigh for hours.” She didn’t look that bad, but when she saw the twinkle in his eye, she knew he was only kidding. He tugged down her tunic and brushed off what she believed was imaginary lint. His fingers seemed to sear her skin, despite there being no skin-to-skin contact. Her pulse increased, which was dumb, because she was just sitting there and not exerting herself. Maybe it was the way Kurt seemed to know what he was doing that had her heart beating too fast. “Perfect. Hold that pose.” He returned to his tripod, adjusted a few dials, and clicked the camera. The flash nearly blinded her. He smiled, looking quite satisfied with the result. “I’m good?” “Come see for yourself.” She jumped down from the wooden crates and stepped behind the camera. She had to bend over to see the photo. “That’s really good.” No shadows crossed her face, and the clarity was amazing. When his hand found her lower back, she wanted to stay right where she was. Kurt had this aura of masculine appeal that made people like him. While she was intrigued with idea of seeing where a relationship could lead, he seemed way out of her league. She’d been born and raised in Pleasure, Montana. Her Florida confinement had opened her eyes to a lot of things, but she wasn’t sure she was ready for really hot sex with a man who would move on to another woman in heartbeat. Not that she knew this about him, but men with this

much self-confidence didn’t go for elementary school teachers despite his letters implying the opposite. She wanted to get her mind off the subject of sex. “Do you know where all the extra presents came from?” Good thing there were three of them passing them out. He did a quick sweep of the room. “Santa brought them.” She liked how he always played along. “And does this Santa have a name?” “You’ll have to wait like the rest of the little kids to find out who he is.” As if on cue, a roar arose off to the side. Kids squealed and clapped. She straightened. Santa strode in, holding up his belly, looking like the stuffing might fall out if he hadn’t wrapped his arms underneath his full girth. She studied the tall man. Even in the red outfit and the fake belly, his face didn’t look heavy enough to be Santa. Then the man’s identity occurred to her. “Is that Drake?” Kurt laughed. “Yeah. He got dragged into volunteering at the last minute. Seems the paid Santa couldn’t make it. But don’t let him fool you. He’s loving this.” “Ho, ho, ho.” She had to hold in a giggle. Would the kids really buy Drake being Santa? Charley raced up to her and Kurt. “Hi, Ms. Jones.” He wrapped his arms around her waist. He was dressed in jeans, a flannel shirt, and a red Santa hat. He couldn’t have looked cuter. “So what are you going to ask Santa for Christmas?” “A new mommy.” He didn’t waste a moment thinking about his answer. Her heart tore. She didn’t want to comment on that delicate situation. “Are you going to ask for any toys?” “Yeah. I want a couple of games for my Xbox.” Kurt gave his nephew a hug. “I thought you wanted a new bike.” “Oh, yeah, that, too.”

She smiled. “You might as well get in line and tell Santa.” His eyes sparkled. “Okay.” She and Kurt stood side by side watching Charley get in the spirit of Christmas. “I guess it’s time for me to go to work.” He almost sounded apologetic as if he wanted to spend time talking with her. “Click away.” He got in position and picked up the cable release. He waved to the kids to get them to look at him then took at least two shots per kid. He’d smile, laugh, and wave. Even when the little kids would squirm on Santa’s lap, Kurt held his cool. He did a lot better than his brother, who didn’t seem to know where to place his hands. Well, she couldn’t stand there all day enjoying the eye candy of these two men. She was here to pass out presents. Destiny joined the other volunteers and gave out the gifts her class made to the older kids. While the presents were only wrapped in newspaper, the kids seemed to appreciate everything they got. The nicely wrapped gifts went to the younger kids. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. At eight, the principal stood at the podium to say a few words and wish everyone a merry Christmas. As the throng of kids and parents thinned, she stayed to help clean up. Kurt packed up his gear. When Drake emerged from the back in a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt, she couldn’t help but stare at how handsome he was. Kurt motioned she come over and her pulse raced. Trying not to look overly excited, she strode over to them. Kurt slung his camera bag onto his back. “We thought we’d head on over to the Mountain View for a drink. Care to join us?” Her ever-practical side emerged. “What about Charley?” “He’s going to spend the night at a friend’s house. Us two bachelors are going to do the town.” His grin was as wide as the candy canes on the wall. She wondered what Drake thought about this threesome. Stop analyzing. “Sure.”

She gathered her coat. Kurt wrapped an arm around her shoulder and tugged. “Why don’t you and I ride in my car? I know Drake will want to drive separately.” He leaned over. “That way he can escape in his pod when the Federation calls him to save the world from the Romulans.” She laughed at his analogy. “Okay.” He certainly had his brother pegged. When they got to the bar and grill, the place was surprisingly full. They stashed their coats at a table, and Kurt suggested they play a game of darts. “I don’t think I can even hit the target.” It was never a game she played. Kurt winked. “How about you and I team up. Think we can take Drake?” He leaned over. “Just so you know, a win’s in the bag.” Drake actually laughed. “You two don’t stand a chance.” Kurt pulled her closer as if they were a couple. “You ready to get serious?” She glanced to Drake, who stood with his legs wide, shaking his head, acting like he was going to clean their clock. “You’re on.” Kurt led her over to the dart area. He looked back over his shoulder. “Drake, why don’t you get us a beer while I teach this little lady how to hit that bull’s-eye?” “Dream on, brother.” Drake traipsed off to get them drinks. Kurt gathered a handful of darts. “Let me see what you can do.” “I’m not sure I can even hit the wall.” “Try.” He sounded so encouraging, she was sure he wouldn’t get upset if she missed. Which is exactly what she did. The first two darts bounced off the wall and landed on the floor. “See? I’m terrible.” Kurt really seemed to want to beat his brother. She hated disappointing him. He grinned. “You just need a little Devereaux magic.” He stepped behind her and, with his hands on her waist, positioned her. “Here’s another dart.”

She took the plastic and metal missile and raised her arm. He chuckled. “Okay, the first thing you need to learn is how to hold the dang thing.” When he wrapped his fingers around her hand, her pulse rose. She liked how his grip was firm but gentle. He positioned her fingers properly. “That feels more natural.” Maybe she could get the hang of this game. Drake returned and set the drinks on the table next to them. “Make any progress?” He cocked a brow, clearly indicating she possessed no talent. She wanted to prove him wrong. “Just you wait, big brother.” Kurt leaned closer and cocked her arm back. “Relax your body. Let me guide you. I’m going to throw the dart with you. Just feel the motion. Once you get it in your muscle memory, you’ll rock.” She doubted that, but she sure enjoyed his muscled presence against her back. In order to get the right stance, he wrapped his left arm around her waist and pulled him tight against him. If she tilted her hips back a fraction, she bet she’d get confirmation he had a hardon. She pulled away a bit, not wanting to embarrass him. “Ready?” he said. She inhaled and enjoyed his pine-scented cologne. “Yes.” He drew her right arm back then snapped it forward. Had he not been holding her, she might have fallen forward. He broke into a laugh. “Darlin’, you have to let go of the dart.” “Whoops.” She’d been too distracted by having Kurt wrapped around her body to pay attention. Drake stepped next to them. “What are we wagering on the outcome?” He drank about a fourth of his beer. Kurt turned her around. “What do you think?” “A kiss to the winner?” Talk about a win-win situation. She wanted to taste Drake again, but if she and Kurt won, she bet the experience would be as exciting.

Both men grinned. Drake held up his glass in a salute. “You’re on.” Now the pressure intensified. She didn’t want to look like she was prejudiced. “I need a minute to practice.” “By all means,” Drake said. He leaned against the wall, his foot propped up behind him. She’d never seen him so relaxed. Trying to remember what Kurt had shown her, she took aim and threw the dart. The damn thing missed, but at least it stuck in the wall. She faced Kurt. “I’m so sorry.” “It’s cool. Think of the dart as a baseball.” He lowered his chin. “You can throw a baseball, can’t you?” “I’ll have you know I was on the softball team.” With the new image in her mind, she tried again. This time she hit the target. “Yay!” She raised her arms and jumped up and down. Drake pushed off from the wall. “Okay, let the games begin.” He rubbed his hands together. “You are so not going to win,” she said. He tossed her a wounded frown, and she laughed. She and Kurt alternated, but after four throws, they were losing. Drake’s cell rang. She prayed he’d ignore it, but somehow she knew he wouldn’t. It was close to ten on a Thursday night. Who could be calling? Maybe it was the mom of Charley’s friend. Drake checked his cell. “Devereaux.” She knew that tone. It was work again. Would he really cut out when he was seriously having fun? She glanced at Kurt, whose hands were clenched. He, too, seemed disturbed by the interruption. Drake disconnected. “Sorry, guys. That was a judge. Seems I need to do some more research tonight. I’ll have to earn that kiss some other time.” Had he not winked, she would have been royally pissed he was copping out once more. Drake stepped over to her. “I promise, we’ll have one night together.”

Oh, my God. Had he just said what she hoped he had? Did spending the night include bed time? In a bold move, she ran a finger down his arm. “You could turn off your phone and say your battery died.” “Could, but I can’t. People’s lives are at stake.” She saw his point. She shot into teacher mode. “Thanks for pinchhitting for Santa. I know the kids really appreciated it.” He glanced to the side, almost as if he wasn’t any good at taking compliments. “We’ll catch up.” He put on his jacket. “I know. On Sunday, a couple of families are going caroling. If you’re interested, how about joining us?” She wasn’t sure if he felt bad about leaving or if he felt obligated to ask. It didn’t matter. This would give her one more chance to show how much she cared. “Sure.” “I’ll call you.” With that he walked out. The air seemed thinner once he left. “Want to finish the game?” Even Kurt’s humor seemed to have vanished. “Absolutely. I’m determined to learn this dang game.” By the time they finished, she’d managed to stick three of the four darts in the target. For her that was progress. Kurt walked her over to their saved table and motioned she take a seat. “Let me ask you something.” “What is it?” “You’ve been away for over a year. Have you noticed a change in Drake?” His brows furrowed. “That’s a tough question. At times, I see some joy in his eyes, like when he’s talking about Charley, but for the most part, he’s so driven by work, life seems to be passing him by.” Kurt blew out a breath, like it was the answer he wanted. “I agree. I can’t get him to relax. If he doesn’t stop and get a life, not only will Charley grow up without having a dad around, I think my brother might end up all alone and miserable.”

What a terrible prognosis. “I’ve often thought the same thing. I even suggested we do something fun, like go dancing, but his work always seems to get in the way.” “I’ve spoken with the other attorneys Drake works with. I specifically asked if Drake’s work is that demanding. They said he goes overboard on everything. While they might read five cases, he has to read ten. He’s on a fast track to the end.” Dare she ask Kurt to help? If she wanted both men, she had to try. “Ever since I got back, I, too, have been trying to think of a way to loosen him up. I’ve come up with a plan to help him, but I need your support.” “I don’t know what I can do that I haven’t already tried.” He threaded a hand through his hair. “I’m convinced he’s using work as an excuse not to face his demons.” “I agree.” She’d do anything to get him out of his shell. “That’s why I need you to help me seduce him.”

Chapter Three “What?” If he’d been drinking beer at that moment, she bet liquid would be all over her face. “This is a little awkward. No, it’s a lot awkward.” She inhaled. Telling the truth was the only way to go. “I’m in love with your brother.” She held up her hand when he opened his mouth. “But I also want you, too, and therein lies my problem.” Kurt leaned back in his chair and smiled. “Darlin’, I don’t see how that’s a problem. Not one tiny bit.” Her heart beat so fast she could hardly get her breath. “You don’t?” “I’ve dreamed of having a three-way with you in the middle ever since I met you. Didn’t you wonder why I was always stopping by after class to ask about Charley’s progress?” She had to think back. “You did visit a lot, but I thought you were concerned about your nephew.” “Oh, I was. After all, what happened to Camille was terrible, and Drake was often out of town. Someone had to make sure Charley was adjusting.” What a wonderful man. “But you never asked me out.” “Drake and I discussed it and thought it inappropriate since you were Charley’s teacher. If you hadn’t been, rest assured, I would have been the first in line to get a hold of your sweet pussy.” His dirty talk heated up her face. She swallowed. “What about now? I’m his third-grade teacher.” “I personally don’t have a problem with that. It’ll be Drake who needs convincing.”

“So what do you suggest? If I ask him out, he’ll say no.” “I’m not so sure. He has the hots for you. Always has. In fact, I think he loves you back, only he won’t admit it to himself.” Her insides melted. “For real?” “Darlin’, if I weren’t moving, I’d ask you to marry me.” Kurt wasn’t serious, but clearly he found her attractive. Then the implication hit her. Surely, he wasn’t talking about her having sex with two men at the same time. While she’d fantasized about both men, actually participating in something so wicked would put her out of her comfort zone. Way far out. A friend she’d met in Florida thoroughly enjoyed her ménage relationship, and she knew of a lot of people in Pleasure who did, too. Being okay with others enjoying two men at once was different from actually participating in the event, though she wouldn’t rule it out. After all, she wanted both men. How else could she have both if not at the same time? The fact that those two had discussed having a relationship with her in any capacity sent her soaring. “Were you a team with Camille?” She wasn’t sure if she really wanted to know the answer. “No. Camille didn’t do anything for me. It’ll take a special woman to satisfy both Devereaux men.” He picked up her hand and rubbed her palm with his thumb, sending tiny electric shocks up her arm. She swallowed. “So now what?” He snapped his fingers. “Maybe we need to make him jealous. Show him that if he doesn’t see what he’s about to lose, I’ll scoop you up. I know deep inside he wants all three of us to be together, but he can’t get his head out of his ass.” “Your plan is flawed. Tonight when you wrapped an arm around my shoulder, and another time when you pulled me close, Drake didn’t seem to mind.” “Then do a good job of seducing him.” She slapped her hands on her hips. “I did. It didn’t work. I’m not convinced he likes me all that much.” Though from his kiss the other night, maybe Kurt was right.

“I guarantee you’re wrong. But to tip the scales in your favor, sneak his phone out of his jacket and turn it off before you strip. If you need me to help, I will.” He’d help her strip? Or he’d help her sabotage the phone? A giggle bubbled inside her at the uncomfortable suggestion, but from the way Kurt was holding her gaze, he was dead serious. Her mind raced through some options. They were going Christmas caroling in three days, but she could hardly invite herself back to his house and strip for him. Charley would be there. “I can’t think of a way to accomplish that.” “Be yourself. You love him. You’ll think of something.” Kurt placed his elbows on the table and opened his palms faceup. “Don’t worry. You’ll be a natural.” He cocked a brow. “You ever dream of making love to both of us?” The room got hotter as her mind raced. He reached across the table and held her hand. “Don’t worry about it. I was just asking because I know Drake and I had a threeway before Camille came into his life. I wasn’t attracted to his fiancée, so I bowed out, but I know he’s open to the idea.” She couldn’t do it. “Can I think about it?” “Absolutely. I’ll do all I can to help.” He snapped his fingers. “Christmas is next Friday. I always prepare a nice Christmas Eve dinner. Never know what might or could happen. We’d love to have you.” She wanted Drake, but she also wanted Kurt. What was happening to her? “Okay.” **** The caroling went well. A light snow had fallen, but with the lack of wind, the evening wasn’t cold. During their stroll, both men seemed to find a reason to take her elbow or wrap an arm around her waist as they crossed icy patches. While her singing lacked the rich

quality of Drake’s or Kurt’s voices, they all had a good time. Charley surprisingly knew a lot of the words to the songs. Someone had taken the time to teach him. Was it Drake or Kurt? Or had Camille been a singer, too? Charley grabbed her hand and tugged. “Dad said he’d make hot chocolate after we sang. Can you come over?” How could anyone deny the urgent plea? “Sure.” This might be her opportunity to test the waters, so to speak. Given it was Sunday evening, she figured Drake wouldn’t get a call from work. If he did, she’d be convinced he’d paid someone to interrupt him. It didn’t take a degree in psychology to see that Drake had never addressed his wife’s death. He seemed to be using work as a way to avoid his pain. Tonight, however, he had gotten into the spirit of Christmas. Drake had been equally attentive to both her and Charley, and she couldn’t have been more pleased. She thought that after the dart game, he was giving up his claim to date her. Either he didn’t consider Kurt a threat or he believed in sharing. Ever since Kurt brought up the whole threesome concept, the idea had consumed her waking thoughts. She still hadn’t drawn any conclusions, but she wanted to keep an open mind. Kurt brought her into the living room. “Charley,” he said, “why don’t you help your dad fix the cocoa you promised Ms. Jones?” “Okay.” He grinned and ran off. Without any foreplay, Kurt turned her in his arms and kissed her. Not only hadn’t she expected him to kiss her in his brother’s house, but the explosion of need startled her. Here, she’d spent her whole time thinking of Drake. Maybe she’d picked the wrong brother. One hand cupped the back of her head, and as he tilted her back he dragged his other hand down her arm until he reached the waistband of her jeans. Was he going to slip his fingers into her pants? Her thoughts splintered. What if Charley walked in? What if Drake did? Had his warm, tender kisses not turned her on so much,

she would have pulled away. Drake and Charley’s voices carried into the living room from the kitchen. As long as they stayed there, she’d enjoy Kurt’s undivided attention. Instead of dipping between her legs, he slipped a hand under her sweater and captured a breast. Her breath caught at the promise of what might come. Reason intruded. Was he only pretending? He said he wanted Drake to see them so that he might get jealous. She figured there was only one way to find out. She leaned forward and lowered her hand from his shoulder to his crotch in one bold move. His free hand clasped her wrist. “We can’t. Not here.” His dreamy, hooded eyes closed, as if stopping her had been hard. She sat back and broke the kiss. She was sure her lips were swollen and her cheeks flushed. How come he could touch her and yet she couldn’t reciprocate? Before she could figure out his motive, Drake called in from the kitchen that the cocoa was ready. She straightened her shirt and scooted away from Kurt, who was inhaling and exhaling like a runner who’d just finished a race. One thing she discovered, Kurt hadn’t been faking his interest. **** Drake came out of the kitchen carrying the cocoa. One look at his brother and Ms. Jones almost made him drop the damn tray. What the hell had been going on? From the smudged lipstick and mussed hair, Kurt had had his hands all over Destiny. His jaw tightened. Sure, he’d run out on her a few times and hadn’t found the time to call, but he didn’t appreciate Kurt butting in on the woman he wanted. Didn’t matter Drake could never have her. He hadn’t been able to protect his wife when she needed him the most. He knew damned well he could never be sure he could protect Destiny. His brother would be leaving town soon, and she didn’t need the disappointment.

Charley picked up a mug from the tray and handed it to her. Drake’s anger disappeared. He was so proud of his son. “Thank you, Charley,” she said with a smile. She avoided Drake’s gaze. Something major had happened between her and Kurt. He and his brother needed to have a serious talk. It wouldn’t be fair to her if they got involved. Charley already adored her. What if things went south and he needed to discuss Charley’s progress. She’d feel uncomfortable around him. Where would that leave his son? The kid already had lost one mom. Kurt set his cup on the coffee table and slapped his thighs. “What say we play a game of Monopoly?” Charley clapped. He loved that game. “That’s a great idea.” This was Christmas, and anything his son wanted, he’d give him if he could. “I’ll get it,” his son said. While Charley retrieved the game, Drake took the centerpiece off the dining room table. “Let’s play over here. There’s more room.” He wondered if Kurt and Destiny would team up against him again. As much as he should be upset, he could see the spark in her eye that she cared for both of them. He squashed the image of all three of them in bed. Don’t go there. He had to accept the fact that some things weren’t meant to be. He took his place at the head of the table and Destiny sat to his right, with Kurt opposite him. Even over the aroma of chocolate, he could smell the sweetness of her perfume, and his cock hardened. He had to get a grip before he embarrassed himself. Charley came running in with the game in his hands. “I want to be banker.” No telling who’d end up with money at the end, but he was up for it. Kurt and he argued over what piece they wanted, but apparently Destiny wasn’t going to wait around to see who won the debate. She picked up the car. Kurt reached over and stilled her hand. “That’s the piece I want.”

He winked, obviously trying to rile her up. “What? You think I should have the iron or the thimble?” She widened her eyes, looking way too cute. “Do women only belong in the house?” He held up both hands. “That thought never crossed my mind. I was convinced you’d go for the top hat, since you’re such a dandy.” She giggled and handed over the car to Kurt. “Fine.” Charley picked up the dog, and he took the battleship because his life seemed to be one skirmish after another. The game began, and Destiny was more competitive than he thought. Kurt, surprisingly, let her get away with anything she wanted. He hadn’t seen his brother so attentive to another woman in a long time. Maybe it was because her flirtatious actions were directed at Kurt. He wanted Destiny to look at him that way. If only he could figure out a way to rekindle her interest, he might give it a go. But she’d have to understand that a permanent relationship wasn’t in the cards. Hell, why was he doing this to himself? She’d be better off looking elsewhere than at the Devereaux men. His work seemed to take too much time, and Kurt wouldn’t be around much longer. Destiny was in for disappointment, that was for sure. Charley picked up a card and cheered. “I get to collect two hundred dollars.” He looked up at Destiny. “That’s two of these bills.” He grinned. His heart almost splintered at the affection between them. For the first time in a long time, he hadn’t been focused on the clock. The fact his phone remained silent was another miracle. Given his son’s lack of ability to count money, Drake was the first to go belly-up. “Well, I’m done.” He scooted back his chair, gathered the cocoa cups, and placed them on the tray. Destiny stood, too. “I need to be going.” Damn, he was hoping Charley would go to bed and give him some

time alone with the sexy vixen. He could use a few kisses and some touching. “Come on, Charley. Let me tuck you into bed.” Kurt must have read his mind. His son’s lip quivered. “I want to play another game.” Destiny placed a hand on Charley’s shoulder. “We have school tomorrow, and I don’t want you yawning in class.” He looked up at her. “Okay.” His son never gave in that easily. Kurt led him down the hallway. Drake put the cups back down. “I am really sorry how things have worked out, but I’d like you to give me another chance.” Why again am I doing this? She deserved better. Her face sparkled. “I’d love that.” Maybe it was his imagination, but her breath seemed to come out faster. Aw, hell. One kiss wouldn’t hurt. He’d been dying to taste her all night long and moved in. The moment his lips touched hers, he knew he was lost. Her warmth spread through him, causing his cock to expand. She opened her mouth, and he willingly accepted the invitation. At first she was tentative, but as he explored her mouth, her tongue grew bolder. Wanting to taste her skin and inhale her scent, he pulled back and ran his mouth down her neck. She moaned when he caught the bottom of her ear between his teeth, and then dug her fingers into his arms. What this woman did to him. His need for her increased with each touch and with each taste. Her hair smelled like peaches and her skin was soft as silk. When she ran her hands up and down his arms, he had to have more. He slid a palm up her shirt and cupped her breast. He expected her to flinch, but she pressed her body closer to his. His cock ached. “I want you naked,” he whispered in her ear.

Chapter Four Destiny’s body went rigid. She’d been so carried away that Drake’s words barely registered. “We can’t.” As if he didn’t hear her, he slipped his hand under her bra and pressed her nipple between his thumb and forefinger, making her pussy do somersaults. If he touched her panties, he was sure to know how much she wanted him. Her comment must have registered for he pulled away. His eyes were half-closed and his mouth partially open as if he, too, had been in a sensual coma. “You’re right. I don’t know what I was thinking. Charley’s in the other room.” “Not to mention Kurt.” He drew the back of her hand to his mouth and kissed it. “No, Kurt wouldn’t mind. In fact, he might stand behind you and enjoy your body with me.” Once again the image of making love to both men slammed into her. She couldn’t imagine what four hands and two mouths would do to her. She broke contact and straightened her outfit. As if she’d conjured up Drake’s brother, Kurt wandered in. “Am I interrupting something?” “No,” they both said in unison. Kurt’s grin told them he didn’t believe them for a second. Could this get any more embarrassing? Hadn’t she spent time on the sofa with Kurt, and then less than two hours later was in Drake’s arms? What was wrong with her?

“I guess I should be going.” Before either man stopped her, she picked up her coat and practically ran out. Once in her car, she started the engine and sat there, her breaths coming out fast. Her tit tingled where Drake had touched her, and her pussy was wet from the way he kissed. She was a basket case. Her head cleared somewhat on the way home, but she had a hard time grasping the fact that she wanted both men. She prayed that work would take her mind off the men. Only it hadn’t. Getting through the next two days took her teaching patience to a new level, but her focus remained on the two men she loved. Finally, Christmas vacation began, and she couldn’t wait until Thursday night. Sharing Christmas Eve dinner with two men she adored made her ache with need. With Charley at the house, there wouldn’t be an opportunity to taste either one, but she’d enjoy just being with them. She’d e-mailed Drake asking what she could bring. Naturally, he told her he had everything covered. After she insisted she help in some way, he agreed a pecan pie would be welcome. Now she had to bake a pie and figure out what gift to bring each of them. Drake loved ties, so that choice would be easy. Charley would be happy with a toy car, she bet, but Kurt would be tougher. She actually ended up driving to Bozeman and spending several hours shopping for the perfect gifts. Finally, Christmas Eve arrived. The winds had picked up outside, and the forecast was for snow. Nothing was more beautiful than a snowy Christmas Day. The only thing she was going to miss more was Christmas with her family. Since her break was only two weeks, and she had yet to prepare her lesson plans for next semester, she decided not to fly back to Florida. Besides, she’d just been with them for eighteen months. Being with the Devereaux men would help make up for her loss. Figuring out what to wear was the hard part. Should she go conservative and school-like for Charley’s sake, or sexy for her men?

In the end, she wore nice slacks with a tight sweater that showed off her body. She wished she could have worn spiked heels so she’d be more at eye level with them, but walking in the snow made that impossible. With her gifts in hand, she headed over to Drake’s house. Her hands were sweaty, though she wasn’t sure why. The evening would be fun. When she rang the bell, Charley answered. “Ms. Jones is here,” he shouted. “Charley, you don’t need to yell,” Drake said from somewhere in the house. She stepped inside. The warmth embraced her, and the scent of cinnamon and turkey permeated the air. Someone had been decorating. A large Christmas tree sat in the corner of the living room where none had been a few days before. She guessed Kurt had been the elf at work. Speaking of which, the handsome man himself came out of the kitchen, dressed in jeans and a yummy mocha sweater, wearing an apron. He kissed her. “Merry Christmas.” He looked upward. She followed his gaze and spotted the mistletoe. “Merry Christmas to you.” Drake followed close behind and handed her a glass of wine. Even though she was no longer under the kissing ball, he bestowed a lengthy kiss on her, too. “Welcome.” He took the bag carrying the gifts from her hands. “You shouldn’t have.” “The pie’s on top, so be careful.” Drake set the bag on the coffee table and removed the dessert. “Have a seat. Dinner will be ready shortly.” Kurt disappeared and came out with a camera in hand. He bent down and snapped some close-ups of her. “Kurt!” “What? I’m here to document Christmas Eve. It’s been a while since we’ve had a beautiful woman at our table.” She pushed aside the image of Camille sitting on the sofa and at the table. Ghosts had no

place interfering on this day of joy. “Thank you.” During dinner they talked mostly about school. Charley certainly didn’t need to be listening about the events of a murder trial. She was impressed with how well-behaved he was during the meal. While he was good in class, not all children were able to listen during an occasional adult conversation. The meal itself was divine and the company wonderful. She clapped her hands after the dishes were cleared. “How about you open the presents I brought.” Charley cheered. She handed him his present and he tore open the paper. His grin was worth the whole trip. “I love my truck, Ms. Jones. Thank you.” She gave a present each to Drake and Kurt. To show off his new tie, Drake draped it over his neck even though it hardly went with his camel sweater. For Kurt, she’d gotten a polarizing filter for his camera, something she’d heard him mention he needed. Kurt rubbed her hand. “I can’t think of a better present. Thank you.” Drake handed her three presents. “For you, from us.” Oh, my. “You’ve done so much for me already.” She unwrapped each one. Kurt bought her a wool scarf and Drake gave her a matching hat. Charley’s contribution was a box of dark chocolates. “These gifts are perfect. Thank you all.” Kurt put the gifts in the living room. “Anyone up for a game of Wii?” “Yes!” Charley shouted. She knew she’d stand no chance against him. In no time, Charley proved that youth would win every time. Boy, did that make her feel old. Kids these days were so tech savvy. In the end, she and Kurt lost to Drake and Charley. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d laughed so much. Since there was no school the next day, Charley had been allowed

to stay up late. That was her cue to leave. As soon as Charley disappeared into the family room, she gave each one of the men a lengthy kiss good night. **** Destiny woke up the next morning with a slight headache and a stomachache. She never should have eaten two pieces of pecan pie, nor should she have mixed wine with eggnog, but she wouldn’t have traded the experience for the world. She laid out her gifts so that she could look at them time and time again. Were Kurt and Drake thoughtful men or what? Needing to keep busy, she spent all morning cleaning. Somehow getting organized made her feel better. She was in her kitchen fixing a cup of coffee when someone knocked on her door. She peeked out the kitchen window. It was Kurt! She wondered what he was doing here on Christmas Day. She raced to answer it. “Hey.” She smiled and ushered him in. He stomped his feet on the mat and came in. “Since it’s Saturday, and it’s so beautiful out, I thought maybe I could convince you to go shooting with me.” “I could never kill anything.” He laughed and held up a hand. “No, I meant with a camera. I have a spare and thought we’d go up to Hellman’s Ridge. The view is fabulous up there.” “What about Charley and Drake?” “They’re doing some father-son bonding.” Her heart melted. “I’m glad. They need time together.” “Those were my thoughts. So, are you up for spending the day with the third wheel?” “Sounds wonderful, but no one considers you that.” From the shine in his eyes, he was using the outcast comment as an excuse to be with her. Her pulse raced. Not only would she get quality time with

him, she’d get to spend time outside, something she hadn’t done much since her arrival. “How about I pack some sandwiches?” “Works for me, but how about I make them while you get dressed. Make sure to bundle up. It can get real cold on the top of the mountain.” Didn’t she know it. She layered on as many fleeces as she could. Despite it being winter, if she stood in the sunshine, and if the wind didn’t blow, she’d get hot. Sometimes dressing appropriately was the hardest part about living in Montana. When she thought she wore the right combination, they headed out. He held open the truck door for her. “You ever use a camera other than a point-and-shoot?” She climbed in. “In high school, I took a photo class, but I’m more the type to set the thing on auto and forget about the rest.” He smiled. “I guess you’ll be getting a little lesson from me about reading your light meter then.” If that meant he’d hover over her, she’d enjoy that. She leaned back and took in the view. The day was perfect. Not only did the clean snow sparkle for miles, the skies were clear and the wind still. However, she knew too well how storms could sneak up on you. Kurt kept to the back roads on his way to the mountains as he had chains on his tires. She remembered how slippery the mountain roads could be without them. About forty-five minutes later, they pulled off the road into what was labeled a parking lot. “It’s amazing!” She’d never been to this part of the mountain. “It’s a little spot I found a few years ago.” He opened his door. “Let me get the camera for you and go over the basics.” The blast of cold air chilled her face. A moment later, he returned with two large bags. He extracted a camera for her. “This slide turns on the camera, and when you press down the shutter halfway, the camera will focus for you.” He slid the dial to automatic and handed it to her. “Try the automatic settings first, then I can show you how to do manual. If you want to zoom in or out, just pull out the lens.

Ready?” This was going to be so much fun. “Yes.” “I’m glad you wore bright colors. You’ll really stand out against the background.” She hadn’t thought he was going to take pictures of her, but she might have fun posing. After taking a few shots of the magnificent view from atop the mountain, he grabbed her hand. “There’s a really cool alcove down this trail.” “Let’s go for it.” The hike was beautiful. Trees, laden with snow, hung low over the path, holding hands as if they were in prayer. The quiet serenity made their trek something special. “Why don’t you go to the end then turn back toward me so I can take your picture?” he said. She headed away from him and then turned back around. He snapped away while she did all sorts of funny poses. He laughed. She laughed. Together they had such fun. He caught up with her, brought her face to his, and kissed her. His nose was cold against her cheek. “Come on. I want to show you something else.” They went a little farther until they came to a magical clearing. A small frozen pond sat in the middle of a copse surrounded by evergreens. Her breath caught at the pure innocence of the area. “I wish we had ice skates. That would have been so much fun.” Growing up, her daddy took her skating all the time. He lowered his chin and looked up at her. “Would you believe I never really learned how to ice skate?” “No way.” “I spent my time skiing.” He took her hand and led her to the middle of the pond. “Lie down. We’ll shoot the sky.” As a kid she would lie in the grass and study the cloud formations, but that was during the summer. She wasn’t so sure about doing this

on ice, but she wanted to experience everything she could with this wonderful man. After a few seconds, her body began to lose heat fast. “Even through my pants, the ice is cold.” He took off his backpack. “I have just the thing.” He pulled out a solar blanket. “This should help somewhat.” He spread the silvery cloth on the ground, and she scooted onto it. “Much better.” He lay down next to her and they snapped away, taking pictures of the sky. Before long, he was on his knees taking pictures of her. “You are so beautiful.” Heat raced up her face. Kurt always said what was on his mind. It was one of the many things she liked about him. “Now, it’s my turn.” She got to her feet and started shooting. When the ice settled under her feet, she stilled. “Maybe we should take this someplace else.” “It’s safe. Come back down here and let me warm you up.” “Now you’re talking.” She set the camera next to her and cuddled in his arms. Even though she had layers of clothes on, stretching next to him ignited her lust meter. She knew if they’d been inside, they’d be naked in a minute. His kisses were soft at first, but when he rolled her on top of him, the speed and pressure of the kisses increased. He wrapped his hands around her head. “I wanted to do this all day yesterday.” With that, he kissed her hard. She hadn’t realized he’d threaded his hands under her jacket until his half-frozen fingers touched her skin. She jerked. “Those are some cold hands.” “I’m worth it.” Yes, he was. He rolled her onto her back, supported himself with his elbows, and stared down at her. “I could really get used to this.” She wasn’t sure what he meant, but the kiss that followed told her both of them were enjoying themselves. One minute they were in the middle of the kiss and the next he’d stopped.

“Shh.” He nodded behind her. As soon as he slid off, she looked to her left. A beautiful mother deer with her baby was only fifty feet away. Kurt lifted his camera and took a photo. She followed his lead. The world seemed to stop. Except for the wind in the trees, nothing moved. The mother licked the newborn. When Kurt’s camera went off in rapid succession, the mother turned motionless. Seconds passed. Then, nudging her child, the two took off. Destiny sat up. “That was amazing.” “Indeed.” Kurt stood. “Come on. It’s snowing.” She hadn’t even noticed. “It’s so quiet.” He helped her up. “I know of a sheltered place where we can have lunch.” The path got a little steep, but Kurt made sure she had a hand up when needed. With the extra layer of snow on the ground, she had to take it extra slow. As they headed farther into the forest, the snow got deeper. “How much longer?” He tapped her nose. “You sound like Charley.” He laughed. “Actually, it’s on the other side of that large rock.” Once they rounded the bend, there was a big overhang. “It’s a cave!” “Kind of. Come on.” Instead of using the solar blanket, he pulled out a small woolen one. “Have a seat and let me serve you.” The shelter cut the wind. While the cave was only five feet deep, it made their picnic area nice and cozy. “I’m surprised animals aren’t hunched in here.” “Don’t say that too loud.” She knew there were bear, cougars, and other mountain lions, but she’d only seen one or two wild animals up close when she was growing up. He spread out the sandwiches, and she picked one. He leaned back on his elbows. “I think one thing I like the best about the mountain is the eating.” Sometimes he made no sense. “How’s that?”

“Haven’t you noticed how good everything tastes when you’re outdoors?” She bit into her ordinary bologna and cheese. “Hmm. It does taste better.” “Told ya.” He smiled. Kurt amazed her at his wonderful outlook on life. They mostly ate in silence and watched the light snow fall. “Have you ever gotten lost in the woods?” With the snow covering the trails, she wasn’t sure how he knew where to go. He tapped his head. “Internal compass.” “Let’s hope.” Kurt had brought some cookies and fruit for dessert. There was something magical about sitting in this pristine environment, but every once in a while, her Florida-thinned blood made her shiver. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “We should go. Looks like the weather could turn.” She didn’t like that prognosis. Once they exited their cozy shelter, the freezing air blasted her. She hadn’t realized the temperature had shifted. Black clouds had settled to the west. If they hurried, they probably would get back to the truck in time before the really bad weather descended. With the added layer of snow, footing became more treacherous, but Kurt held her hand the whole way. What had started out as a fun adventure had now turned kind of scary. She kept her head down, watching where she stepped, but Kurt seemed sure of himself. They had to climb a steep incline, which caused her heart to pound something fierce, but that was followed by a big decline. She slipped a few times, but Kurt caught her before she fell. Finally, what had been an hour trek into the forest turned into two hours getting back. When they emerged from the woods, relief flooded her. Kurt stored his backpack in the back of the truck. “Would you mind one more shot by the hill? With the way the snow’s coming

down, it’ll be beautiful.” He looked so excited she couldn’t say no. The snow had gotten so deep since they’d arrived that her footprints had disappeared. Making sure not to get too close to the edge, she turned around and raised her arms in triumph. After a series of photos, he waved her back. “Ready to get out of here?” “You bet.” She turned around. On her way back, she looked up. “I’m not liking those black clouds.” “Me neither.” He helped her into the cab. Once he cranked up the engine, he backed out and headed down the mountain. Kurt was a careful driver, but even he had his limits. The snow picked up and visibility dropped. He rounded a corner and pressed down on the brakes. The truck did a little slide to the edge. “Crap. Road’s blocked.” Several large boulders must have tumbled off the cliff and landed in the road. They were trapped.

Chapter Five Bad scenarios raced through her mind. The thought of dying on this mountain nearly sent her over the edge, but at least she’d have wonderful Kurt to keep her company during her last few cold hours. He pulled out his cell. “I’ll call Chester. He’s got a snowplow.” Her shoulders sagged. Maybe they would get out of there after all. He slapped the phone closed. “No signal.” Adrenaline spiked her pulse. “Let me try mine.” She didn’t know if they had the same service provider, but just in case, she yanked out her phone and turned it on. “Damn. I don’t have a signal either.” Kurt reached under the steering wheel and pressed a latch to lift it up a notch. A moment later he scooted next to her. “Come here.” “We’re stranded and you want to cuddle?” He turned off the engine and smiled. “You got a better idea?” He nuzzled her neck. “You should know that anytime I have the chance to hold you in my arms, I’m going to take it.” How could he be so upbeat? “You always do say the sweetest things.” She pulled back a bit. “Wait. Aren’t you worried?” “Worrying is only worthwhile when you can do something about it. I figure worst case, we spend the night in the cab. I wish I had a backseat, because then we could be doing something other than sleeping.” When he winked, she laughed. “Okay, you’re right. No worrying allowed.” She ran a hand down his chest. “Do you think someone will come looking for us?” He took off her hat and ran his fingers through her hair. “Oh, I imagine at some point.” He pulled her close and kissed her.

She loved how he managed to take her mind off the dire situation. His soft lips traced a line along her jaw and back down her throat. “It’s actually getting warm in here.” “I’m betting it’s going to get a lot warmer.” **** If Kurt had his way, he’d strip Destiny naked and do her in the car. He’d always wanted her, but he’d never seen her so carefree as she’d been today. Her adventuresome spirit fit so well with his lifestyle. It was a real shame he might have to move. Three hours was a good distance, but he’d be willing to come home on weekends to service this vixen. The way she trusted him to lead them into and out of the forest was a big turn-on. He also loved how she could wrap herself around nature and love the sky, the pond, and the cave. Yup, this one was a definite keeper. He didn’t fool himself into believing that Drake wasn’t part of the equation. In fact, it would require a very special woman to take on the Devereaux brothers. The image of Drake pounding her pussy and him in her sweet ass made his balls turn rock hard. He nuzzled her neck. “Your hair smells good.” As did the rest of her skin. “You want to take off that jacket? If it gets too cold, I can turn on the engine and blast the heater. I’ve got nearly a full tank.” “Okay.” They both removed their jackets, but she had on so many more layers, he’d never get her naked. However, the hand was a magic tool. He slipped fingers under her shirt. When she didn’t stop him, he cupped her breast. He hadn’t expected the round fullness to fill his palm so nicely. When she pressed against his hand, he had to have more. Their lips met. He swung his legs to her side and lifted her onto his lap. When her head banged against the ceiling, he immediately ran his hand over her crown.

“You okay?” Christ. In his haste, he hadn’t paid attention. “I think you should kiss it to make it better.” She lowered her head, and he managed to soothe the ache not only on the top, but in other places as well. When she cupped his face and kissed him hard, she’d clearly forgiven him for his carelessness. His cock rose from the affection, and he adjusted her on his lap. What he wouldn’t give to slip a hand down her pants and play with her pussy. Why not? She seems ready and willing. She ran her tongue along the seam of his lips, and he opened up. Her tongue slipped in, and she tasted of the apples they’d had for lunch. The mating dance caused his cock to expand to near bursting. While the kissing was wonderful, it didn’t come close to satisfying him. He had to have more. “I want you.” Her eyelids drooped as if she was in the same sexual haze. “We can’t.” He refused to give in so easily. “Why not?” She sat up as much as she could. “We’re in a two-seater truck.” “I was thinking we could start by just touching each other. I know it’s too cold to be naked.” Though if she’d be willing, he might have considered losing his pants. She wiggled her butt as if she knew what kind of touching would interest him. “I guess as long as we’re going to be stranded here all night, a little touching might be okay.” Her eyelashes fluttered. “But it needs to be for warming-up purposes only.” Before he could answer, she dragged a hand under his jacket. His abs clenched from the way her fingers worked their way up his chest. A strong wind buffeted the truck, shaking it. She held on to him tight. He stroked her arm. “Don’t worry. We’re safe. I have extra supplies in the back if we have to be here a while.” One supply item was a shovel. He might have been able to clear a path big enough to

drive the truck through the obstruction, but motoring down the mountain would have been too dangerous in the driving wind. Had he been alone, he might have chanced it. With Destiny, he didn’t dare try. She continued her assault on his lips and somehow his fingers found the zipper on her snow pants and pulled it down. “I thought you might be more comfortable without these on.” “I think you might be right.” Her breaths came out in tiny bursts. His balls tightened. She slipped off his lap and pulled the pants down over her boots. She folded them neatly and placed them on the seat next to her. “How many clothes are you wearing?” He had on one pair of thermals under fleece-lined pants. “I’ve just come from living in Florida.” She held up her fingers and counted. “Four.” He’d never get to her pussy, but then again, they had all night. He pulled her onto his lap again, enjoying how she felt in his arms. The more the wind blew, the closer Destiny clung to him. Because there was little room to move, he cupped her pussy and squeezed. He closed his eyes for a second, trying to imagine his cock inside her sweet center. She giggled. “Hold that thought.” What thought? The thought that he couldn’t wait to fuck her? She slid off his lap to the seat next to him and reached for his waistband. As her fingers touched his cock, he clasped her wrist. “This isn’t a good idea.” Her eyes widened. “Why?” Why? Think. “Because I’m already on the verge of coming. If you touch me, I might explode. I don’t need my jism all over us.” He tried to feign being indignant. She tapped her chin as if contemplating something evil. “How about if I lick you, and you come in my mouth.” Dear God. She was trying to kill him. “I swear I would like nothing more, but if your mouth ever touched me, I’d have to fuck

your sweet pussy right then.” Oh, shit. He shouldn’t have been so graphic with someone so innocent. She sat up. Her gaze shot downward as if she needed a moment to process what he said. “Okay.” **** Drake checked his watch again. It was close to nine and still no Kurt. He’d called both his brother’s cell as well as Destiny’s, but they both had gone to voice mail. Kurt mentioned they were going to take pictures atop Hellman’s Ridge. When it turned dark, Drake figured they’d returned to her place. His imagination got the best of him about what those two could be doing, so he shuttled Charley off to the neighbors and drove over to Destiny’s house. He prayed they weren’t answering the phone because they were too busy in bed. His cock hardened thinking about joining them. Don’t go there. Destiny deserves better. Despite the terrible visibility, he made it to her house without skidding off the road. Kurt’s car wasn’t in the drive, nor were there any lights on inside the house. He knocked just in case, but when no one answered, his gut soured. Something bad had happened. He debated driving up the mountain, but with his four-wheel-drive car and no chains, he wouldn’t have gotten far. Waiting until morning would suck, but he had little choice. To jump-start the process, he called the sheriff and explained the situation. “It’s too dangerous to go looking for them in this storm, but I’ll put together a team as soon as it’s light. I’ll get ahold of the two rangers, and we’ll head out first thing.” “I want to come with you.” “Suit yourself. We leave here at six sharp.” Long after Sheriff Bradford disconnected, Drake’s gut churned. If anything happened to either one, he’d be devastated. After calling the

neighbors’ house to say good night to Charley, he tried to keep his mind occupied by watching television. It didn’t work. He called Kurt’s and Destiny’s cells again, thinking maybe they had decided to walk down the mountain in the hopes of getting reception at a different altitude. Neither answered again. Next, he dragged out his computer to do some law work. Usually, he got heavily involved in research, but not tonight. Convinced he’d not sleep a wink, he set the alarm for five and crashed on the sofa while some stupid movie played in the background. He must have dozed off because the alarm jarred him awake. He jumped up and checked his cell. No luck. He hadn’t gotten a call back. Shit. Needing his morning coffee to function, he turned on the machine and went in to wash. Not in the mood to cook breakfast, he toasted a bagel and ate an apple. In case the search took a long time, he packed several sandwiches, not just for himself, but for the sheriff and the other two forest rangers. When he arrived at the station, the two rangers, Evan Thomas and Sparks Langston were checking over their snowmobiles housed in the back of their truck beds. Deputy Tom Carnes came out of the station dressed to hike the hills. “Drake.” They shook hands. “You haven’t heard from them I take it?” “Afraid not.” “You want to ride with me?” Tom also had two snowmobiles in the back of his truck. “Sure.” The ranger led the way. Drake used to love to hike with Camille. He and Charley had gone with Kurt a few times, and he was confident his brother wouldn’t have gotten lost. He possessed a sixth sense about direction. “You know where 2806 meets Old Fort Road?” “Yeah.” “I think that’s where he was headed. He mentioned something about taking photos on top of Hellman’s Ridge.”

The sun was peeking over the horizon when they began their ascent. Fresh snow lined the road. While the going was slow, the path was passable. About two-thirds up the mountain, a large pile of snow blocked the way. “I think this is where we switch to the snowmobiles,” Carnes said. “Works for me.” Both trucks stopped and changed their mode of transportation. Sparks approached. “We’ll stick to the road. Not only is it safer, but if Kurt and Destiny are trying to walk out, this will be the path they take.” They all mounted their machines and made their way toward the top. Drake worked hard to keep it together. Where the hell could they be? He’d kept an eye on the downward slopes in case Kurt’s truck had gone over the edge. As they rounded a curve, they came across another blockage, only this time one with a few rocks embedded in the snow. Carnes cut his engine and dismounted. “Road ends right ahead. Let’s go on foot.” Sparks shot ahead. He hadn’t been gone but a minute when he yelled. “Shit.” Drake charged up the hill, climbed over the mound of snow, and spotted the truck, half-buried. Drake raced up the window and peered in. Destiny was sprawled on top of his brother, half-undressed, looking as though they’d had an orgy. He knocked on the window and Kurt jerked up his head. When he grinned, a mix of relief and anger grabbed him. He’d worried for nothing. Or had he? Destiny quickly rolled off Kurt. No way could he open the car doors with the snow against the side, nor could Kurt roll down the electric windows until he started the car. Destiny pulled on her pants while Kurt turned over the engine. The window lowered. “What took you so long, bro?” It wasn’t Kurt’s fault the storm had prevented him from coming

down the mountain. His brother always did find a way to make a bad situation good. “You okay?” “A little hungry and tired, but otherwise we’re fine. I got a shovel in the back. I’d appreciate it if you could move a little of that snow from around my door.” Drake had to laugh. “No problem.” In short order, both Kurt and Destiny were able to get out. She stretched and yawned. “What I wouldn’t give for a cup of coffee, a big breakfast, and a hot shower.” “I’m with ya there.”

Chapter Six Destiny ate a great breakfast at the Mountain View Bar & Grill, along with her two heroes. Since she and Kurt needed a ride back to her house, Drake drove. When the snow melted a bit, the rangers said they’d get Kurt’s truck back to him. “Do you have time to come in?” She looked over at Drake and smiled. “I want to thank our rescuer.” “Sure.” Kurt wrapped an arm around her waist as they entered the house. “Be honest. We had fun.” “True, but I prefer a bigger bed, or else next time you need to get a four-seater cab.” “I’m hoping there won’t be a next time. Maybe I should have carted up a snowmobile.” “That would have worked. Would anyone like some coffee?” Kurt stepped over to her and swung her into his arms. “I want my dessert first.” The gleam in his eye told her she was finally going to get what she’d wanted for a long time. She prayed Drake would follow along. When all three entered the bedroom, she mentally cheered. While Drake had been quiet during breakfast and on the way home, he seemed to flip a switch and focus on her. He slipped off his jacket and tugged off his boots. “I’m the one who’s starving. You had her all last night, bro.” Kurt tried to hide his smile. Bless him. He knew this was what she wanted. Good thing she’d made it clear she wanted dibs on both men. One just wouldn’t do.

“Not the way I wanted, let me assure you. The woman wore more clothes than a department store.” She laughed at his exaggeration then wiggled her fingers at Drake. “Come here. I’ve been dreaming of taking off your clothes for too long.” Drake cocked a brow. “Oh, yeah?” After unbuttoning his flannel shirt, she pulled the material down over his arms and let it drop to the ground. “I see you came prepared for a long search.” He had on a thick undershirt. “I wasn’t going to quit until I found you two.” A quick shot of pain crossed his face. “I’m sorry we made you worry, but our cells didn’t work.” “I figured.” She divested him of his undershirt. His naked torso took her breath away. He might spend a lot of time in the office, but from his rippled chest, he’d given equal attention to his body in the gym. Light from the window created a shadow on the scar on his side. She touched the bumpy mass. “What is it?’ “It’s a long story.” His tone implied he’d never tell her, so she lowered her hand. He clasped her arm. “Honey, I don’t mind if you take your time getting me out of my clothes, but while you’re working on the process, would you mind if Kurt strips you naked? I’m dying here waiting to touch you.” His tone softened. He must have realized his abrupt comment hurt. Really? “No. Go ahead.” Kurt went right to work while she finished up with Drake. First, Kurt pulled off her boots and socks so he could remove her bulky pants. Her forward progress undressing Drake took a break when Kurt pulled her shirt over her head. All that remained were her bra and panties, and she thought Drake might like the honors of removing them. She unbuttoned Drake’s fly and peeled down the pants. “Damn. You’re so overdressed.” He wore long underwear. One more layer to get through.

He laughed. “Let me help you a little.” He shucked off his long underwear. “Okay, you can do the rest.” The rest only included his boxers. His cock was bursting to get out, but it was only fair to remove Kurt’s clothes before she started on the Drake adventure. When she spun around to attend to him, he was already naked. “Oh, my.” She might have fondled his cock last night in the dark, but seeing him in broad daylight put a new meaning to big. She spun back to Drake and tugged on his boxers. Immediately, his cock peeked out from the top. Her hand stilled. “I’m not sure I can take both of you. You’re both ginormous.” They chuckled. Kurt dropped a knee on the bed and leaned his body against her arm. “Don’t worry. We won’t take you at the same time until you’re good and ready.” Since she’d been celibate in Florida, it could take a long time to stretch her out. Both men moved closer. “Wow. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I don’t know where to begin.” To be fair to both men, she reached out with both hands and grabbed their cocks. Drake’s dick pulsed in her palm. Kurt moved out of her reach. “You need to learn some patience,” Kurt said. “I was trying to go slow.” It wasn’t her fault her urges got the best of her. Drake took her hands in his. “Don’t move, or we’ll have to punish you.” Punish her? From the gleam in her eye, she might like what he had to dole out. Her pussy moistened thinking about what they would do to her. She’d had close to two years to dream about this moment. Drake pulled her panties down to her thighs. “Nice snatch.” He ran his hands through her curls. She wanted him to touch her more intimately, but begging wasn’t her style. Ever. As if the two men were telepathic, they both pulled down her bra straps far enough for her nipples to appear. Her breath

whooshed out as they ducked their heads and took a nipple in each mouth. My God, she’d never had such a sensation coursing through her. Drake’s right hand cupped her breast, while the fingers on his left hand twirled her hair. Kurt seemed to enjoy playing with her rear. His fingers skated over one cheek and dipped a little toward her puckered hole. No one had ever entered her behind, but if she could love both her men at the same time, she’d be willing to learn. Wow. When had she changed her mind about having both men at the same time? Maybe once they both entered her bedroom together. Kurt must have distracted her, for her hands somehow located Drake’s cock. She wanted to lick him then run her hand up and down his length, making him come in her mouth. Faster than a snake could strike, Drake held her hand. “What did we say about not moving?” “I thought that just meant I couldn’t go anywhere.” “Wrong.” His strong pronouncement took her by surprise. Drake scooped her up and sat on the bed. In one quick move, he rolled her over on his lap. “You will be punished.” Had his tone not held some humor, she might have been worried. The first spank came down hard. “Ow.” She snapped her hands over her butt. “Kurt, hold our woman down while I dole out the punishment.” His brother obliged. Now she was helpless. So why did her pussy moisten at the thought? He spanked her again. “It hurts.” Fortunately, her voice didn’t sound like she was whining. “Good. It’s supposed to hurt, or else you won’t learn to do as we say.” Where had this authoritarian man come from? She rather liked his aggressiveness. His actions were the same as when he’d defended the woman in town against that horrible man who’d hit her.

He landed another slap. While his hand made her behind sting, something strange happened. The heat caused her pussy to become more fully aroused. She wiggled her butt, trying to figure out exactly what was going on. “Darlin’, you feeling something in between those tempting thighs?” So he knew what the spanking did to her. “Maybe.” She bet they were grinning at her. Drake delivered a few more slaps. By now, the pain had morphed into delicious lust. Kurt knelt beside her and rubbed her rear. “Just relax and let me make it better.” She liked the idea, but never expected him to dip two fingers into her sopping pussy, drag out some of her juices, and rub the liquid over her tight hole. She couldn’t help but clench her butt cheeks. “I think our woman likes to have her ass played with.” After he added more of her juices to the area, Kurt slipped a finger into her hole. “Yikes.” The pressure took her by surprise. He placed a hand on her rear. “Easy.” Kurt slipped off her panties and nudged open her thighs. “I can smell her sweet perfume.” How embarrassing was that? Drake readjusted her to allow him full access to her tits. He tweaked one nipple, pressing the tip between his thumb and forefinger. “How about I put this honey on the bed so we can both get to her?” “You bet,” Kurt answered. A moment later she was spread-eagle in front of them with Kurt between her legs. He lay flat on his stomach. “I’ve wanted to eat your pussy for so long it hurts.” He dragged a finger over her wet opening and reinserted a finger in her rear. She squirmed a bit. Then he did the unexpected. He added another finger. “That’s all I can take.” He massaged her stomach. “No, darlin’, wait until I’m done with you, I’ll be filling you up with my cock until you scream for more.” His mouth found her pussy and she thought she’d gone to heaven.

So divine were his lips that she almost forgot about him playing with her rear. He licked and sucked until she nearly came. When he scissored his fingers inside her rear, nerves she never knew existed came to life. “I think she’s liking this, Drake. You might want to service her some other way.” “I don’t mind if I do.” Drake’s mouth captured her breast as he cupped her head. His moans sent her higher until she arched her back, needing so much more. “Please, I need your cock.” She wasn’t sure who she was addressing, but one of her men would surely ease her ache. Kurt rubbed her stomach, which helped to soothe her. Drake’s plucking of her nipples drove her crazy with need. As if he could sense her urgency, his mouth tripped up her chest, over her chin, and latched onto her mouth. She nipped his lips then opened wide to give him entrance. He tasted of coffee and cinnamon. He threaded his hands through her hair and leaned over her, kissing her with so much passion she thought she would burst. “I gotta take her, bro,” Kurt said. With that, Kurt removed his fingers and mouth from her pussy and flipped her onto all fours. From the lack of weight on the end of the bed, he was on his feet. Paper ripped. The snap of latex sounded before he climbed back on. Kurt leaned over and rubbed her tits. “I can’t tell you what you do to me.” From the way his voice quivered, he was as aroused as she was. She couldn’t believe she’d finally get to have sex with the Devereaux men. Using both thumbs, Kurt spread her pussy lips. Even though she was wetter than a flower after a summer rain, he nudged in slowly as if she needed time to adjust to his size. She appreciated his consideration. After a few easy thrusts to work his way in, he lifted her shoulders so that she was kneeling. The increase in pressure from

his cock nearly took her breath away. “My brother needs to have more access to you.” Drake moved in front, his erect cock flat against his stomach. He lifted her tits and thumbed her nipples. “You are so beautiful.” The awe in his tone made her juice up even more. His fingers traced lines down the side of her breasts as his mouth captured hers. The more force he exerted on her nipples, the more she wanted Kurt to fuck her hard. Never had anything ignited her nerves like his huge cock pummeling her walls. He must have sensed her urgency, for he grabbed her hips and thrust in farther. Oh, my. His balls slapped against her rear as he drove into her. Drake moved back, lowered her shoulders enough for his cock to be at mouth level. She had to lower her arms to support herself before she opened up. She wanted to take her time and lick him, but he, too, seemed to be close to the brink. Drake entered her mouth, but he didn’t go so far as to gag her. With his palm, he held her head as he pressed upward. “Jesus, Destiny. Your mouth is wicked.” Kurt’s rhythm intensified, bringing her closer to the edge. He set a speed of profound urgency. His fingers clasped her ass. “I’m about to lose it. Come for me, Destiny.” His desire for her to take her satisfaction first jettisoned her toward her climax. Blood pounded in her ears just before Drake shot a geyser into her mouth. She had to pull up a bit to swallow the volume. His salty taste teased her taste buds. He slipped out and she had to lean over to lick him clean. Drake grabbed her shoulders. “No more. My cock’s so sensitive I might come again if you touch me.” Kurt stroked her back with one hand as he held on with the other. Her attention shifted to her pussy. She milked his cock, and he let out a strangled cry. He pumped faster, pushing her higher and higher. “Oh, God, I can’t last.” Powerful lust slammed into her, toppling her over the edge. Her climax swept her away.

Kurt took her hips in both hands and drove to the end. He held her tight as his cock throbbed and pulsed. Warmth spread through her as he released his juice. Then his head dropped on her back. “I never imagined your sweet pussy being so fine. Dear God, where have you been my whole life?” Joy slammed against her as she slid to her stomach. Something must have motivated Drake, for he left the bed and returned a moment later with a wet towel. “Roll over so we can clean you.” No man had ever offered to do that before. These men were so special. This time they didn’t have to tell her to be still. No muscles worked. Legs spread, she let them rub her clean until sparks of life burst upon her again. It was unimaginable that she actually lusted after Drake and wanted his cock inside her. She reached out to touch him, when he scooted off the bed. When he tugged on his briefs and jeans, she couldn’t believe it. “You leaving or something?” “Gotta go.” He threw on his shirt, but not his flannel underwear. Once he tied his boots and donned his jacket, he kissed her good-bye. “Stay safe.” His extra clothes in his arms, he walked away. Speechless, she looked over at Kurt. “What the hell was that about?” “My brother thinks if he stays around, you’ll want a commitment.” Her heart cracked. An ugly sludge oozed through her veins. She did want a commitment, and she thought he might, too. He needed her. “He’s being ridiculous.” “I couldn’t agree more. This is why I’m so worried about him. We’ve got to convince him to change.” Even if he didn’t want her, she still loved him. Kurt snuggled closer and wrapped her in his arms. “I’m sorry Drake was such a dick. Maybe you’ll understand better where he’s

coming from if I tell you what happened to his wife.” Destiny had read everything about the event in the papers. Unless they hadn’t reported the whole truth. “She was murdered. It was a terrible tragedy.” “Yes, but you don’t know the whole story. I’d let Drake tell you, but you might be retired from teaching by the time he opens up.” Her curiosity was piqued. At the same time, her stomach tumbled. Drake had demons in his closet and she wasn’t sure she should be privy to them. You want him for better or for worse. “Tell me.” “He and Camille were asleep in their bed one night when he heard a noise. It took a moment for him to realize he wasn’t dreaming. He didn’t want to wake her, so he slipped out of bed to check it out. He’d stepped from his room when someone smashed him in the head with a blunt object. We think it was a metal vase.” Her heart nearly reached her stomach. Pain wrung the blood from her heart. “Oh, my God. What did he do?” “The blow was so hard he dropped to his knees. The man kicked him several times in the side and then in the head. Drake was able to get up once, and he connected a blow to the man’s face, but that’s when the man shot Drake.” She clasped a hand over her mouth. “That’s horrible. Is that what the scar was on his side?” “Yes. After he got shot, he passed out and nearly died. The robber went in and shot Camille twice in the head. The coroner thinks she died immediately.” “Why did the man do it? Had Drake prosecuted someone he loved?” He shrugged. “Who knows? The man took Camille’s jewelry, Drake’s wallet, and some assorted pieces of artwork. The thief seemed knowledgeable about which pieces he could fence.” “I can’t imagine what it would be like to find someone dead that

you loved.” Her gaze shot to the ceiling as if there would be an answer written there. “What about Charley? Was he home?” “That was the only stroke of luck. My nephew was spending the night at a friend’s house.” “Poor Drake.” “Yeah. It’s my theory he feels so guilty over not being able to protect his wife that he lives in fear the same thing will happen again.” The room turned suddenly cold. “No one has that kind of control.” “I know, but try telling that to Drake. He’s like a lost ship.” Kurt moved closer. “He needs a compass.” His fingers brushed the hair from her face. “I think that could be you.” The idea was absurd, though she’d give anything if she could be his guiding light. “I don’t think so. Sure, he likes me, but if he cared more, he wouldn’t have walked out after what we just shared.” Kurt hugged her tighter to his chest. His warmth spread over her. “Give him time. I think when he realizes what we have, he might be willing to come out of his shell.” “We can only hope.”

Chapter Seven Once school was back in session at the beginning of January, Destiny didn’t see as much of Drake as she would have liked. Another trial was going on, and Drake often stayed overnight in Bozeman. She was able to keep up with his agenda since Charley was a chatty kid who had his finger on the pulse of the Devereaux men. Bless this child for being so attentive. At least Kurt had taken her to the movies and to dinner, but he’d told her he’d be up in Great Falls through Friday. A couple of her friends asked if she wanted to get a drink after work. Given the week she’d had, she was more than willing. They drove over to the Mountain View. The bar and grill was turning into one of her favorite places. Not only was it the spot of her first real date with Drake, but everyone was friendly and the food was reasonably priced. “It’s really packed, especially for 4:30 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon,” she said. They got lucky to snag the second-to-last table. After they ordered their drinks, the second grade teacher pointed to the large poster on the wall. “I see Mountain View is having a hoedown Friday night.” She scanned the group and smiled. “Who’s going?” Two of the teachers were married, and the other three were single. Two raised their hands. Destiny remembered her conversation with Drake. As much as she’d like to go, he’d out-and-out stated he wasn’t much into dancing. The fourth grade teacher slapped a hand on her hip and focused right on Destiny. “Tell me why you aren’t going. It’ll do you a world of good.”

What did that mean? Was she uptight or something? If she was, it was all Drake’s fault. He hadn’t called or stopped by after work. So what if he was busy? Kurt was at a financial conference. That eliminated him as a potential date. “I’ll probably go.” “So you gonna bring that handsome dad?” She inwardly groaned. It probably wouldn’t look good if she were out dancing with the father of her student, but hell, it was a free world. Drake might have some internal rule against being with her in public, but she didn’t. If she asked him, the worst that could happen would be he’d turn her down. “I can ask, but he works a lot. Besides, he says he doesn’t dance.” “That’s okay. Neither does my husband, but both Janie and Toby will be here to help teach the newbies the steps.” She’d love to share something as fun as a square dance with him. When he’d written those letters to her while she was away, he’d mentioned having some pretty unique experiences. If the man could bungee jump and take part in a polar bear swim, he could learn to do a line dance. Underneath his sometimes-gruff exterior, he was a funloving guy. After the women finished chatting, Destiny ordered a meatloaf to go. She would eat some of it for dinner, but the rest would be leftovers in case one of her men stopped by and wanted to share a meal with her. Since the hoedown was in two days, she’d call Drake tonight. Hopefully, he’d be home, and if he hesitated, she’d just have to twist his arm. The image of pulling his arms behind him and cuffing him flashed in her mind. Wouldn’t that be fun getting him helpless to do with what she wanted? Once she got home, she waited until nine to call. Charley would be in bed by then. Drake would have no excuse not to chat. No doubt she’d be disturbing him from his late-night research, but too bad. He, too, needed to get out and cut loose. The last time they’d been in a

social setting had been the game of darts, and she’d definitely liked that side of him. Her fingers trembled as she dialed his number. She’d never asked a man out, but damn it, she’d been in bed with the man. She could do it. It wasn’t like she was asking him to walk her down the aisle or anything. It was a little line dancing, for goodness’ sake. “Devereaux.” He sounded tired. “Hey, it’s Destiny.” She held her breath. Would he be happy she’d called or wary? “Is everything okay?” Why did he assume the worst? “Yeah. Say listen, just wondering if you might join me Friday night at the Mountain View.” Not telling him the reason might be a tad dishonest, but she really wasn’t up for the rejection. “I could stop by on my way home from work.” That was not exactly what she had in mind, but at least he hadn’t turned her down. “Do you think you could wear something a little more casual?” He chuckled and the sound went straight to her heart. “You want to come help me pick out what you want me to wear?” She was sure he didn’t mean it literally, but the idea of being in his bedroom, touching his clothes, sent her pussy into heightened awareness. “Jeans will be fine.” “So this is a date?” His excitement spurred her on. “Yes.” “Sounds good to me. What time do you want me to pick you up?” Oooh. Last time she’d met him there. “Say six?” That would give them time to eat dinner before the dancing began. “I’ll see if our neighbor can watch Charley. You do know Kurt’s out of town until the end of the week, right?” “Yes.” Which would mean his house, as well as hers, would be empty.

**** She’d tried on about five different outfits in an attempt to figure out which one looked better. In case she could convince Drake to stop over after the dance, she washed and changed the sheets as well as cleaned the rest of the house. Perfect. The doorbell rang, and she was as nervous as when she’d gone to her high school prom with Brad Neff. Yikes, was that a flash from the past. She pulled open the door. “Wow.” Drake’s coat was open, despite the winter temperature. His low-slung jeans hugged his body, and the shirt he’d picked showed off just how fit he was. He stepped in the house. Geez. Her brainwaves had stopped, and she hadn’t thought to invite him in. It must have been his grin that got to her. She wanted to see his face light up more often. “You want me to close the door,” he said, with a twinkle in his eye. “Oh, yeah. Sure.” His chuckle went straight to her stomach. Drake stepped toward her and pulled her into an embrace. Her heart skipped a beat as he kissed her. Did he smell good or what? Sandalwood maybe, but as his scent infiltrated her brain, her pussy registered the kiss. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer. His mouth moved across her chin and down her throat. “I could do this all night, but I think you had something else in mind.” No. Just this. “Yes, dinner.” Dumb, dumb, dumb. “You have a coat?” She stepped back. “Yes, I have a coat, unless you think you can keep me warm all night.” She dragged a finger down his arm. He laughed. She hadn’t meant it as a joke. Fine. Her coat was on the living room chair and she tugged it on. With an arm around her waist, he took her keys, locked her door, and led her down the steps. The wind was light and the sky clear.

Stars were even beginning to appear. This was the perfect beginning to hopefully an even more perfect night. The Mountain View Bar & Grill was hopping by the time they got there. Many of the tables were off to the side to make room for the dance floor. Drake led her to the bar, where they fortunately found seats. “Did you know about this hoedown?” If she wanted a relationship with Drake and Kurt, lying wouldn’t be smart. “Yes, but if I’d told you, would you have come?” “Maybe not.” The bartender came over to take their order. Drake ordered a beer and a hamburger with fries. She had a Coke and the seafood special. She swiveled toward him. “So what do you have against dancing?” He lowered his chin and cocked a brow. “I suck?” “There is no way you aren’t athletic enough to do a little twostep.” He leaned his elbow on the counter. “Maybe it doesn’t interest me.” “Not even if I’m in your arms?” His mouth lifted at one corner. “In that case, I’ll give it a shot.” The bartender delivered the drinks, but she didn’t take the time to chitchat with her old friend. All she wanted was the man in front of her. Naked. On her. In her. “So what do you do for fun?” The man worked entirely too much. “Fun? Can you spell that for me?” His chuckle didn’t hold much mirth. “You need to get out more.” He grabbed his beer. “I’m here with you, aren’t I?” “Good point.” By the time the dinner came, the music had begun, bringing out the really good dancers. Drake had to lean over to be heard. “You still think we won’t look

like fools out there?” The line dance teacher was going rather quickly, and if Drake didn’t already know the difference between a kick-ball-change and a heel-toe, he’d get frustrated fast. To his credit, Drake watched rather intently. “Maybe.” “All I can figure out so far is that Toby there is good at counting to eight.” Poor Drake. “How about if there’s a slow dance, we give it a try?” His grin reached his eyes. “Now you’re talking.” She’d like nothing better than to press her body against his. They’d finished dinner, and he was on his second beer, when the music turned slow. She grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the dance floor. He seemed a little reluctant, but he must have known he wasn’t going to go home without at least one dance. As if the world didn’t matter, she wrapped her hands around his neck and moved to the beat, hoping he’d figure out what to do. Swaying and moving in a slow, rocking circle couldn’t be that hard to do. Wrong. He’d lowered his head and inhaled her hair. She nearly tripped. God, she wanted this man. When the song ended, she wanted to suggest they go back to her place. If she did, he better not have some lame excuse why he couldn’t stay. Though from the way his hard cock was pressing against her, he was as ready to leave as she was. More people crowded the dance floor, preventing them from getting back to their seats easily. One more dance was fine by her. As soon as that song ended, the band announced they were going to teach a second line dancing routine. Drake’s jaw lowered. She tugged on his arm. “You ready to leave?” “Oh, yeah.” She prayed he wouldn’t just walk her to the door, kiss her good

night, and drive off. She had plans for her man. Ever since she’d had his cock in her mouth, she’d wanted to make love to him. They drove home in relative silence, almost as if both of them were thinking about what the evening might bring. When he pulled into her drive, he cut the engine, got out, and pulled open her door. He held out his hand. “Your key?” What a gentleman. He escorted her inside. He turned on the light switch by the door and glanced around. “You expecting someone?” “Never can be too careful. Remember, I prosecute scumbags. When I hear how they can get into houses, it turns my stomach. It’s never really safe for a woman to live alone.” “Now I won’t be able to sleep, thinking about some sneak attack.” He ran a thumb down her cheek. “Sorry. Sometimes I let my imagination run wild.” Oh, shit. She’d forgotten that some intruder got in his house and shot both him and his wife. A vise grip squeezed her heart. If anything happened to either him or Kurt, she wouldn’t know how she could go on. He slipped her scarf from her neck, draped it over his shoulders, and unzipped her jacket. “I have an idea.” “Yeah?” “It’s the lasso game.” From the glint in his eyes, she was going to like playing. “Tell me how it goes.” “Let’s just say it involves me lassoing you and then me getting to have my fill of your scrumptious body.” She stepped closer. “Would one of us be naked by any chance?” He slipped her jacket off, placed it on the living room chair, then took his off. “You’ll have to wait and see. The only rule is that I get to have all the control. No touching me, which is why I have to tie you down.” Wicked thoughts slammed into her. He didn’t wait for an answer.

Instead, he took her hand and led her into the bedroom. He first turned on the overhead light and then flipped on the small reading light by her bed. Only then did he extinguish the main light. The room turned dim. After she slipped off her boots and socks, he ran his hands down her arms. “From now on, you aren’t allowed to do anything.” “Nothing?” She edged closer and reached out her hand to cup his balls. “That’s my point.” “If you kiss me, can I kiss you back?” Teasing him was fun. “For trying to twist my words, I’ll have to punish you.” “Ooh.” She liked what he and Kurt had done to her before. He walked over to her chest and opened the top drawer. He pushed aside her undies and bras. Even though she wasn’t supposed to do “anything,” she was curious what he was looking for. “Can I help you?” “I want more scarves.” “In my closet.” He slid open the door. “I like how organized you are.” He pulled three long scarves from the hanger and tossed them on her four-poster bed. With his gaze latched onto her face, he moved in. Her pussy tingled in anticipation. “Love the top, but it’s gotta go.” In one sweeping move, he lifted the shirt and tossed it on the dresser. Without unclasping the back of her bra, he lifted the bottom up and over her breasts. “Nice. I have plans for these.” She hoped that included lots of sucking and teeth scraping. Leaving the bra more or less on, he unbuttoned her jeans and slid them down her hips. He knelt in front of her. “Lift your leg.” She obeyed, and he divested her of her pants in short order. All that was left was her too-damp panties and her bunched-up bra. Probably because he figured she might be uncomfortable, he pinched

the hook in back and pulled the bra off her. His mouth found her tit. He scraped his teeth lightly across the tip, and the pressure sent sparks of need down her body. She closed her eyes and dropped back her head. “That’s good.” He pulled the bedspread down to the end, lifted her, and dropped her on the mattress. Without any ceremony, he dragged off her panties and tossed them on the floor. His concentration was intense, like he’d been sent on a life-or-death mission, and he was determined to win. In a quick maneuver, he secured her two wrists together. She expected him to tie her hands above her head. Instead, he told her get on her elbows and knees. He spread her legs apart, then took one scarf and dragged it ever so lightly over her naked pussy. The rubbing created more need. She wiggled her butt. “Can I have the real thing?” “We have all night.” Music to her ears. “But impatient little girls need some serious education.” The spank came hard and fast. “Ouch.” “You didn’t warn me about the hoedown tonight.” Three more slaps came in rapid succession. By now, heat was shimmering across her rear, its tendrils licking her pussy with abandon. He slid two fingers into her dripping opening, and just as fast, withdrew them. “Don’t stop.” “I can tell how much you like your punishment.” She guessed to please her, he spanked her harder. Waves of pain morphed into such intense pleasure, her juices dripped down her thigh. “I can smell you.” She could, too. “I want your cock.” “Oh, you will get that, I promise, but first I want you climbing the walls with need.” She already was. He flipped her over and tied her hands above her. After dragging his palms down her tits, he moved to the end of the

bed, where he strapped her legs to the side posts. “You are mine for the taking, and don’t forget it.” She couldn’t have been more thrilled. The scarves he’d picked were almost too short, forcing him to spread her legs wide. “You comfortable?” His tone changed from aggressive to soft in a second. “Yes.” He shucked off his boots and everything else he was wearing in an instant. His rigid cock stood at attention. She couldn’t take her gaze off him. “You’re magnificent.” “I’m glad you like it.” He straddled her. His big cock at her entrance, he rested most of his body weight on his elbows, leaned over, and massaged one breast while he nipped at her other nipple. Each tug brought her closer to a climax. With his large, mushroomshaped head seated at the entrance to her pussy, he gently bit on each hardened peak. She tried to push her hips upward to get him inside her. “You’re being cruel, teasing me like that.” “You complaining? I have ways other than spanking you to get you to comply.” In a way, she wanted to know what he’d do, but this time decided to keep quiet. “No.” “Good.” He drew her nipple in his mouth and sucked hard on the tip. The erotic pain wreaked havoc. “Mmm.” “You’re lucky Kurt’s not here. He’d really like to tie you up, and do all sorts of things to you.” She wanted to know what, but she was willing to wait for when Kurt was here in person. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she’d like having something other than vanilla sex. These men had brought out urges in her she never knew existed. Drake scooted lower on her body. The air cooled her wet breasts. His thumbs trailed down her stomach, and his mouth followed. When

he opened her pussy lips, she groaned. Oh, how she wished she could run her hands through his hair, but maybe that was the point. By not being able to do anything, her mind conjured up all sorts of images and desires. “I hope you are a patient woman.” No. “Why?” “Because I want to stay down here for a while.” “What did I do to you?” She wanted him. “You sent me beautiful letters.” His mouth latched onto her pussy and his tongue licked her deep and hard. His comment made no sense. She would have asked him, but right now, the words wouldn’t form. She bucked up, needing more pressure, and she needed more of him. He held her hips and nibbled on her clit. When he sucked on her bundle of nerves, she nearly came. “Don’t even think of climaxing.” “That’s going to be so hard.” “I’ll give you something hard in a minute.” “Yes. Please.” Three fingers replaced his mouth, and the spiraling thrill changed direction as he curled his fingers to touch another sensitive spot. One hand found her stomach and began making soothing circles while the other continued its carnal assault. “You are so wet.” “I wonder why?” He immediately stopped all pleasuring and untied her legs. “Roll over.” With the legs free, the scarf tying her hands spun as she flipped over. He patted her ass then lifted her hips. He dragged the head of his cock down her opening. Her butt cheeks automatically contracted. “None of that.” With his knees he moved her legs wider apart. She expected to finally get some release, but instead, he threaded the silk scarf through her legs and seesawed it back and forth, stimulating her clit beyond anything she’d imagined. “Oh, oh.”

He dropped the scarf, reached underneath her, and rubbed her clit with his thumb. “I’m so ready, Drake.” “I’ll let you off easy this time.” Thank God he wanted there to be another time. He disappeared from behind her. Out of the corner of her eye, he pulled a condom from his jeans pocket. If her hands had been free, she would have liked to put that on him herself. Next time, maybe. He returned. “I want to fuck your sweet pussy. You don’t know how long I’ve waited for this.” Oh, my God. He simultaneously wrapped his palms around her breasts and held his cock at her opening. He tugged on her tits as he slid into her wet pussy. The glory of the union took her breath away. “You are so fucking tight.” From the awe in his tone, he was pleased. He leaned over her and kissed her neck. Sparks of lust radiated down her body. Between his cock working her pussy, his hands pulling and kneading her tits, and his mouth making love to her body, her climax rose higher and higher. “I love this,” she said. He slowly increased his speed, taking her to the tallest peak. Her breaths turned rapid as a torrent of electric pulses spread through her body. He pounded into her, compressing her nipples and nearly biting her neck. Blood rushed through her at warp speed until his final plunge sent her over the end. His cock seemed to double in size, and his hot cum filled her. Their breaths matched in perfect rhythm. He held her for a long time. “Wow.” Not very eloquent, but it was the only word she could come up with. His head dropped to her back. “Yeah, that.” When the overwhelming event settled in their brains, he pulled out, and she gave in to her weak knees.

“Hold that thought.” How Drake had the energy to go into the bathroom and return, she didn’t know. In a flash, her hands were free, and a warm, wet cloth was between her legs, cleaning her. “I think we need to go dancing more often.”

Chapter Eight Since Christmas break, she was convinced the kids had emptied their brains of all the knowledge she’d taught them the month before. Drake was prepping for another murder trial, and Kurt was in Great Falls more than he was in Pleasure. She tried not to get too down and concentrated on preparing her lesson plans. The January days were speckled with a few bright days, but there were far too many winter storms for her. She couldn’t wait until springtime. Charley was waiting in her room after school most days until their neighbor came and picked him up. Poor kid. She swore Anna and Bill Studer had more quality time with him than Drake or Kurt. Someone knocked and she looked up. “Kurt!” She stood and smiled. She wanted to run into his arms. Even though Charley must have guessed she was seeing his dad and uncle, he never let on, and she didn’t want to intrude in their lives. Drake never implied he wanted anything long-term, and Kurt would probably move in the next month or so. Kurt wrapped an arm around Charley’s shoulder. “Got everything?” “Yup.” “He has some reading to do and a few pages of math left to finish.” Kurt looked down at Charley. “Car’s out front. I’ll be out in a minute. I want to talk to Ms. Jones.” “Okay.” He trotted off.

When the door closed, Kurt was on her in a flash. His lips were warm and delicious. “I’ve missed you,” he said between kisses. She melted into his chest. “Me, too.” Given anyone could have looked into her room, she was grateful when Kurt pulled away. “You know, it’s Drake’s birthday in a week.” “He didn’t mention it.” She needed to find something special for him then. “I want to give him a picture of you and Charley, or maybe one of the three of us.” “What a wonderful idea.” He lifted her chin with his finger. “Which means I need you at our house. Can you come tonight? Drake’s sequestered in Bozeman.” She could spare a bit of time. “Sure.” “I’ll order pizza. It’s Charley’s favorite. Then we’ll do the shoot.” “What do you want me to wear?” “Nothing?” She swatted his arm. “Seriously.” He pressed his lips together and tilted his head as if he were some great master envisioning the shot. “Bring a variety of things.” “You’re no help.” “Come at six.” He gave her a quick kiss and disappeared. She finished grading the rest of her papers, packed up her gear, and left. If she wanted to look her best, she’d need time to get ready. At a few minutes past six, she rang the bell. Charley answered. “Hi, Ms. Jones.” “Hi, Charley.” She stepped in the warm house that smelled of a rich mixture of pizza and something else she couldn’t identify. Olive oil perhaps, or it could be the fresh roses on the table. She wondered where he’d bought those. Kurt came out of the kitchen in his chef’s apron. She didn’t know pizza delivery needed much preparation, but she didn’t say a word. “I thought we’d eat then shoot.”

“Works for me.” Kurt had prepared a homemade pizza and a large garden salad. He served the meal with a raspberry iced tea. Candles were glowing on the table and he’d dimmed the overhead light. Had Charley not been there, she would have thought this was a dinner made for seduction. “Why all the fuss?” She swept a hand over the table. “I want you both in a relaxed mood. As soon as people are in front of the camera, they freeze up.” She knew she did. Other than maybe professional models, most people hated having their photo taken. For Kurt, she’d go with it. Charley told Kurt all about the science project they were working on, but that he hated math. Kurt’s brows furrowed. “You know math’s my specialty. I can help.” “Yeah, but you just want to do the problems for me.” Too often parents were eager for their child to get the right answer instead of guiding them to learn the material. Once dinner was over, they all helped clean up. The sense of family overwhelmed her. She missed her parents and sister. Living alone had its drawbacks. “I’ve set the studio up in the weight room. It’s a little crowded, but I think it works.” They all headed toward the back of the house. The weight room looked more like a full gym. There must have been at least ten pieces of equipment. “This is amazing.” He patted his stomach. “Gotta keep the body in shape for my woman.” I like it when he calls me his woman. A thrill pumped through her. She figured once he moved, though, she’d be a distant memory. “Is what I’m wearing okay?” “Perfect.” He swept a hand toward the studio in the corner. Two sidelights, a backlight, and a big reflector surrounded two

chairs. The backdrop was a pretty mountain scene. She took the seat on the left and Charley sat to her right. “How about if you have your arm around Charley?” He stood next to them and fussed with the arm position, her hair, Charley’s shirt, and a host of other things until he was satisfied. Finally, he took the picture. Charley got up. “No, sport. We need a few more shots. This is for a special picture.” Charley dropped back down to the chair. For the next half hour, Kurt tried a bunch of different poses. First Charley was sitting with her standing behind him, then she was sitting with Charley next to her. He came up with every combination possible. “Can I go do my homework?” Wow. He must be tired. “Sure, sport. I’ll be in to tuck you in.” “Bye, Ms. Jones.” Once he was gone, Kurt locked the door. “Now, for the good shots.” Uh-oh. “Good shots?” “The ones Drake will really like. What did you bring in that bag?” She’d been a little naughty just in case Kurt had more provocative shots in mind. She pulled out a low-cut, black top. “How about this?” He moved closer. “I was thinking something more in line with being naked.” He unbuttoned her blouse. Once he was done, she pulled off her shirt, not caring if the silk got wrinkled. His eyes mesmerized her. When he dragged his gaze down her body, she got the hint. She kicked off her heels and dragged her skirt over her hips. “This better?” “How about keeping the heels. Nothing is more enticing than a woman in heels wearing her underwear.” She slipped them back on, a little self-conscious she was in a seat with hot lights pouring over her body. He dragged one strap off her shoulder. “How about sitting

sideways in the chair and hugging your knees?” Kurt returned to the camera. “Just move and pretend you’re making love to me.” She didn’t have to stretch her imagination too far. She turned, tilted, lifted, smiled, pouted, and laughed. He clicked away the whole time. “I have a better idea.” He pulled her to her feet. “But first, I do want you to realize that if we continue, you’ll cross that invisible line of no return.” “I don’t understand.” “I have a slightly different lifestyle than your average man. I wanted to warn you before you go forward.” He stroked her arm with one hand and her rear with the other. “Can you be more specific?” “I think you know I’d like to come in your ass. I think you’d like it if Drake could fuck your pussy at the same time.” His mouth found the top of her breast and he nibbled softly. While all this was foreign to her, she was willing to try. Kurt would be gentle. “Anything else?” “I heard you were okay with Drake tying you up. I might go a little farther, but I promise it will always be for your pleasure.” He glanced around. “Let’s just say this gym equipment has multiple uses.” He winked. Her mind couldn’t fathom what he liked, but if he believed she’d like it all, she’d try it. “Okay.” His grin nearly reached his ears. “You sure?” His teeth scraped her lips. “Uh-huh.” “I’m going to put you way out of your comfort zone.” “Okay.” She prayed she was doing the right thing. “All right then. You’re in for a wonderful ride, my love.” His fingers trailed down her shoulder, causing sparks to ignite along her sensitive skin. His mere touch made her pussy swell with arousal. His mouth was a more potent weapon. After he pulled down

her bra cup, his teeth latched onto her nipple. The slight bite created a lust so deep she wanted to have his cock inside her right then. She was well aware he’d barely begun, yet already, her panties were wet. Kurt must have been a mind reader for his fingers slid between her skin and panties. A finger slowly eased in. “You’re already sopping wet. Bad girl.” She liked when he thought she was bad. To get more of a reaction, she pressed her hands on his jean-clad crotch and squeezed. “I see someone else has been thinking dirty thoughts.” “You have no idea what I’ve been thinking about.” He pulled her toward a large standing rack that had a pulley system installed with weights. “Wait here.” In the corner was a chest. He scavenged through it and came back with some kind of straps, along with a box. He lifted her hand. “Grab hold of this handle. To keep you from getting tired, I want to strap your hands to it.” She appreciated his concern. When he tied the other hand, her arms were spread wide. Since the weights were light, when she relaxed, her body fell forward a bit. “Oh.” He patted her butt. “I see you’re beginning to understand the versatility of this gear.” He stepped behind her and, with one swift move, pulled her panties down to her ankles. She stepped out of one leg to give her more freedom. Using his feet, he nudged her legs wider. She looked down and could see a box by his feet. “What’s in there?” “That, darlin’, is a surprise.” Without warning he spanked her ass. “Whoa.” She’d forgotten how bad she’d been. But when something man-made slammed against her butt, she drew her rear forward. “What was that?” The sting heightened the pain. “It’s a ruler. I thought it appropriate for my schoolmarm.” “It hurt.” “Just wait. The heat will build up and the erotic pleasure derived

will be intense. Your pussy will be begging me for release.” When Drake slapped her, that was true, but he’d used his hand. The ruler came down on her ass again and she winced, but a second later, her pussy clenched. He was right. The arousal crashed into her like a huge wave. “Your ass is getting nice and pink. I want you relaxed for what comes next.” These warnings turned her on. Not knowing what was in Kurt’s mind excited her. He alternated the ruler with his palm until she began to look forward to the smacks. Each contact brought sweet, painful pleasure. Odd that the combination would be so fulfilling, but she was at a loss how else to explain it. Kurt spread her butt cheeks wide. “Nice.” He slathered on a cool grease around her dark hole. “What are you doing?” “Getting you ready.” Now that Kurt was about to have sex in her forbidden hole, she wasn’t sure she wanted to. He slipped a finger in there, while his other hand rubbed her on-fire rear. Her tight ring contracted at the invasion. “Relax, darlin’.” “Easy for you to say.” He chuckled, and she did the best she could. Eyes closed, she concentrated on the good feelings that were sure to come. He wiggled his finger inside her, and soon she could imagine having his large cock inside her until he added a second finger. Her breath caught. “I know it’s a lot to handle, but you’ll get used to it. Think of when we were on top of the mountain.” The scene had been magnificent, and her muscles gave way. He opened and closed his two fingers, stretching her to the max. It was when he touched some nerve and her pussy throbbed that she believed this could be a good thing. A small moan escaped. Suddenly his fingers disappeared and Kurt stepped in front of her, holding a purple object about four inches long and one inch wide. The

fact it was shaped like a slim cock told her its use. “This is a very small version. I’m going to put this in you.” He stepped behind. A top squeaked open. She couldn’t help but jump when he pressed the cold object past the tight ring. “That’s huge.” It might have looked small, but it was anything but. “Shh.” He stroked her hair. Kurt stood to her side, leaned over, and kissed her neck. His lips traveled down her back. His tender touch allowed her to imagine something beautiful about to happen. He pressed the large object farther into her ass. This time it went in with more ease. At first, its uncomfortable position troubled her, but as he worked it back and forth, small erotic nerves grew to life. Apparently, her pussy was delighted, for tiny flares of delight danced along her walls. “Touch my tits.” The plug went in all the way and she lost her breath. “I decide what happens. Best to remember that, darlin’.” Had she not heard the cheer in his tone, she might have been frightened, but she trusted Kurt. Loved him. He stepped in front of her and unhooked her bra. “Mmm. I see we have a problem.” “The straps unhook in front and back.” “Clever.” He divested her of the bra in seconds. She stood straighter and the butt plug caused all sorts of havoc to her inner walls. “Oh.” He reached around and pressed the plug in deeper. “Except to clean this, I want you to keep this in for a while. Every time you move, you’ll think of me.” “I can’t teach and wear this.” “Why not? Your students won’t know you like to fuck me.” She giggled at his dirty talk. “I’ll think about it.” When he held the plug against her ass, all sorts of delicious tingles developed. “I see you’re liking this.” “You may be right.”

Having a presence down there would take some getting used to. Fortunately, she forgot all about the throbbing when Kurt stepped in front of her and stripped. “Normally, I’d let you rip my clothes off, but it seems you’re a little tied up.” “Funny guy.” Her gaze didn’t leave his huge cock. Compared to him, the butt plug was tiny. “Don’t worry,” he said. “We’ll stretch you out before I enter you.” “I’m not worried.” Then why did her voice wobble? Her thoughts disappeared when he swiped his large cock over her opening. Juices flowed. “We have to get that pussy up and running again.” If she looked down she bet there’d be a wet stain on the rubber mat below her. Kurt dropped to his knees. He pried open her lips and dragged his thumb across her slit. She couldn’t believe how one touch caused fireworks to go off inside her. “That’s nice.” “I’m hoping for more than nice. Wait until I’m fucking your hot pussy. Then we’ll see if you say it’s just nice.”

Chapter Nine Kurt was already straining to control his urges. Destiny tasted so sweet. He pressed in the plug, and with the way she groaned, he thought he would lose it for sure. With one finger inside her, he licked the little hood covering her delicate clit. He loved how she jumped whenever he touched her most sensitive spot. She was his dream woman. Despite her inexperience, she trusted him enough to let him be her guide to sensual fulfillment. “You taste like honey.” He clasped onto her tight ass and lapped up her juices. His balls hardened having her in his grasp. Switching to his fingers, he worked in three digits. With a come hither motion, he pressed against her other sensitive spot. “Whoa.” Her legs tightened. “Oh.” The plug seemed to be working wonders in her ass, but he couldn’t wait any longer. Charley might wonder why he hadn’t tucked him in yet. Kurt rocked back on his heels and stood. “I’m going to fuck you so hard your pussy is going to cream.” “I can’t wait.” Her coy smile did him in. Behind her, he slipped on a condom. What he wouldn’t give to slide into her ass right now, but he adored her pussy, too. “Bend over a little more.” He moved behind her. Knowing she was super slick, he slid his cock right down the channel. Her stomach contracted. “I’m too full. I can’t do both of you.” Both of you meant him and the plug. Nice. Wait until she had him and Drake simultaneously driving into her. Then she’d know what full really meant. “Yes, you can.”

He leaned over, lifted her hair, and inhaled her tantalizing scent. She drove him crazy. As he dove into her with nice, easy strokes to build her up, he wrapped his hands around her front until he found her glorious tits. He pinched the nipples until she reacted with a moan. Her full breasts and creamy skin made his balls pulse with pleasure. She pressed her hips back. “Harder.” His teeth captured her ear. “Patience, darlin’.” With that, he pulled out then shot down her tight channel again until he slammed into the end. She dropped her head and arched her back. “Yes.” Never in his wildest imagination did he think his little vixen would be so wanton. He could only imagine what it would be like to have both him and Drake in her at the same time. Her full breasts filled his hands and he held on tight as his rhythm increased. To keep her arms from fatiguing, he wrapped an arm around her waist and held on tight. With his cheek against her smooth back, he drove into her. “Come for me.” Her groans got louder the faster he pumped. His balls slapped against her ass. He pulled the hair from her face and kissed her cheek. Her fists clenched and she stood on her toes. “Yes, yes, yes. Oh, Kurt!” Her pussy clamped down on his cock so hard, he couldn’t hold out any longer and jettisoned his hot juice into her. “Jesus, Destiny. What you do to me.” For at least a minute, he held her tight, unable to move or think. She tried to straighten but failed, given his heavy weight on her. When he realized her dilemma, he straightened. Using his last ounce of energy, he patted her butt and untied her hands. She lowered her limbs slowly. “I think they’re asleep.” “Let me help.” He rubbed her arms vigorously. “That’s good, but I think I messed up your rubber mat.” She looked up through her lashes. “Don’t worry about it.” That bit of honey on his mat made him

smile. He plucked off his condom. “Be right back.” Good thing this room had an attached bath. It was one of the reasons he’d picked it. He discarded the rubber, wet a small towel, and returned to wipe her down. “Someday, we’ll have to make time to do this in the shower.” “I’d like that!” “Get dressed before our little man shows up wondering what’s taking me so long to come tuck him in.” She blushed. “I’d forgotten all about Charley. I’ll get dressed and sneak out.” He kissed her nose. If he did much more, he’d want to have her all over again. “Remember to keep the plug in. I’ll see you soon.” **** Destiny wanted to please Kurt, but after keeping the plug in all day, she had to take it out. She’d tripped over her sentences twice today at work, and every time she sat, all she could think of was her amazing time in the workout room. Too bad Drake had to be in Bozeman. Having both of them would have been a whole new experience. She’d just finished cleaning up her dinner dishes when someone knocked on her front door. Usually people called first. She peeked through the curtain before pulling open the door. “Kurt! This is a surprise.” He waved the box. “Have you been good today?” His timing couldn’t have been worse. “Yes and no. I wore the plug all day, but just took it out for cleaning.” “Good. You shower yet tonight?” “I’m kind of a morning person.” He held her gaze. “But I’m flexible.” “How about getting undressed so I can enjoy your perfect body?” Ooh, despite him asking nicely, it was more of a command. She

liked that.“You going to tie me up if I don’t obey?” She loved flirting with him. “No, but I might rip the clothes off. I’m not sure you’d like that outcome.” She lifted her sweater over her head and tossed the top on the sofa. Thank goodness she’d worn one of her sexier bras. He toed off his boots and slipped his jeans over his slim hips. His thighs flexed as he stood on one leg to remove his boxers. Needing to touch him, she took hold of his cock. This time he didn’t stop her. While she still had on her jeans, she dropped to her knees. He took hold of her head and pressed his cock to her mouth. “Open up.” She almost laughed at his warrior-like tone. One hand on his sac, she licked the mushroom-shaped head. His groan spurred her on. Using her thumb, she dragged her finger down his length and back up again. The slit in the top had pre-cum oozing out. She lapped it up, loving his manly taste. He rocked forward, telegraphing that he wanted her to suck him longer and harder. She glanced up at him. “You have to be patient.” She loved flinging back the same phrase. “Not so nice when you’re on the receiving end, is it?” “Remember the old phrase ‘What goes around comes around.’” Images of his slow seductive techniques blasted her. “True.” So as not to suffer at his hand later on, she opened wide and swallowed as much of him as she could. He pressed inward, and she nearly gagged. She stroked his cock and squeezed him tight. Maybe she’d gotten too aggressive with his balls or else her rubbing was too intense, but he stepped back. “Your mouth is a lethal weapon. I came here to stretch you out.” His breaths came out fast. “Let’s get in the shower. I want to expand your horizons.” He carried in the box and set it on the bathroom counter. She turned on the showerhead and finished undressing. “Can I see what you brought?” He pulled out some insane-looking rippled dildo. It had

three tapered penis heads. “How big is that thing?” No way that would fit inside her rear. “It’s six and a half inches long and two inches wide.” “That’s not going in me.” “Darlin’, you want me, don’t you?” That was a dumb question. “Yes.” He held the fake cock next to his own. “See?” Clearly, she had to have the intermediate stage first. “Be gentle.” “Always am.” That was true. They both stepped in the shower. The heat cascaded over her and she stepped aside for Kurt to get wet. He took her liquid soap and dribbled a bit on the dildo. “At least you’ll be clean after this.” He set the monster cock on the shelf and turned her around. “But first, I need to relax you.” Her gaze went to the large item. “Good luck.” His lips claimed her. His kiss was soft, gentle, and oh so nice. The liquid soap must have dripped on his palms, because his hands slipped over her tits. “I love touching you.” He delved into her mouth as if he needed to brand her as his own. Holding her tight, he dragged a hand over her ass. She automatically clenched her cheeks. He stepped away, turned off the water, and spun her around. To prevent tumbling, she braced herself against the far wall. The spanking was unexpected. “What was that for?” “For clenching when I told you to relax, and two, a hot ass will get you in the mood faster.” He waved the huge, fake cock in front of her face. “Think of this.” “Okay, I get it.” “You’ll get it all right.” With that he spanked her again. Sure enough, her pussy wept from the electric pulses racing down her behind. Without warning, his finger slid into her dark hole. Her

body knew what to do. She understood the joy of having something inside her. “I want the triple cock.” He laughed. “You sure?” “I’ll stay loose. I promise.” The soapy tip touched the puckered hole. He pressed in hard, but the tight ring wouldn’t budge. “Bend lower and spread that ass. Let me make love to you with this.” Opening herself up as wide as possible, the cock popped in past the ring. Her breath caught. “Oh, my God. That’s so huge.” “Wait until the ridges slide in you, caressing your walls, turning on every sensual nerve in your body.” She couldn’t wait. When he retracted the cock a bit, the ridges nearly scraped her walls. It was almost like going over a tire grate backward. Pop, pop. The next push sent the cock in farther. “There’s no more room.” How much more could she take? “Yes there is. Think of my cock as I push in more. Inhale then exhale.” She did as he suggested. When she blew out the breath, he must have put all his weight behind the cock and pushed it all the way in. The pressure forced her butt forward, reducing the size of the hole. “Yikes.” Kurt’s cheek landed on her back and his hands squeezed her butt. “Good girl. You are so wonderful. I can’t wait to fuck your ass myself.” “How long do I have to keep this in?” She wasn’t sure she could get it out. “For as long as you can. Walking around will help stretch you out. If you want, you can sleep with it tonight. Your body will learn what makes you happy. When I’m ready to take you, it will be wonderful.” Each wiggle gave her new appreciation. There were erogenous zones she never knew she had. Kurt pulled her upright and a whole new world opened up below. “You really think I can walk with this in?”

He soaped up his hands and rubbed her tits. The nice stimulation somewhat helped take her mind off the ginormous cock in her ass. But when he fingered her clit, her mind blanked. His kissing became demanding, and soon, she forgot all about the shower and the dildo. He separated her pussy lips and slid in. Her eyes widened at the double invasion. “I had to have you. I’m sorry. I promise I’ll pull out before I come, but I can’t wait.” The flesh against flesh intensified the experience. He went slow, probably aware of the space limitations. He trailed kisses down her shoulder and across her throat. Every time he changed positions, he’d rub on her clit in a different way. But it was when he pressed the huge cock in her ass that the fireworks exploded. “Come on, darlin’, let go. Love me.” She gripped his shoulders, sure that her nails were digging into him and scraping his skin. He increased the speed, pounding into her with a fury. Blood pulsed in her ears as her climax exploded. “Aaaah.” He gave her two more strokes then pulled out. White pearls shot upward in a stream covering her stomach. He pressed against her and buried his head in her hair. “I so needed you.” That was as close to a declaration of love as she’d probably ever get. For now, it was good enough. He stepped back, laughed, and turned on the water. “Now it’s time to really get clean.”

Chapter Ten During the next few days, images of her and Kurt in the shower rumbled through her brain. What the man did to her body. Never had she thought she’d like anything in her rear, but when Kurt worked the triple-headed cock in her ass, a whole new world opened up. She figured he might not be interested in a future with her, so she brought up Drake and how he thought his brother fit into the picture. “Drake has commitment issues. I don’t know what more I can tell you.” Damn. She still didn’t think all was lost. Until Kurt moved, if either of them wanted to spend time with her, she’d be willing to be with them. She loved both men, plain and simple, and she hoped that with time, they would reciprocate. In regards to Drake’s issues, she understood how terrible it must have been to see someone kill the person you loved, but my God, he shouldn’t feel guilty. He’d tried to defend his wife. What more could he have done after getting shot and nearly bleeding to death? The man had to start living his life someday. Drake’s ears must have been burning because he called the day after Kurt had come over. Had Kurt regaled him with details of the wonderful event, and perhaps now he, too, wanted to experience some grand loving? “I’m clearing my slate for the entire weekend,” Drake said. “I thought I’d take Charley sightseeing in the mountains. You want to come? I promise I’ll check the weather forecast before we head out.” While her time in the truck with Kurt had its advantages in that she did end up in bed with both of them, a repeat wasn’t on her list of

things to do. “I’d love to.” “How about we swing by around 9:00 a.m.?” She wondered if Kurt would join them, but not wanting to appear as if the outing wouldn’t be fun without the two of them, she didn’t ask. “I’ll be ready.” When Saturday rolled around, the last two days had been downright balmy. A lot of the snow had melted in the last week because of the unusual warm spell. Bare patches had exposed the winter-torn ground. Still, the vistas would be breathtaking. As soon as she saw Drake’s car pull up, she rushed down the stairs. She wanted to ravish him but needed to keep herself under control with Charley in the car. Drake got out to greet her. Above the hood of the car he grinned. “You look good.” He swiped his tongue across his lips. Her pussy reacted right away. This was going to be a long hike if she had to keep her hands to herself. On the way to the mountain, Drake gave her a brief rundown on his trial, and then Charley told her how good he was getting on the Wii. She loved hearing about how they spent their days. Once they reached the small parking lot near the top of the ridge, they got out and were met with dry, crisp air. Charley raced toward the ledge. Drake shouted. “Charley, don’t get near there.” “I won’t go far.” He stopped where he was. “Dad, look. I can see forever.” “I know. Come back here.” Charley turned and sprinted back. There were only patches of snow, but Drake grabbed a handful and lobbed it at his son. Charley moved out of the way and then laughed. No surprise, he got into the fun and threw one at his dad. She was watching Charley make another snowball and didn’t see the one aimed at her. Drake’s missile hit her shoulder. She whipped around fast enough to duck the next one.

“You’re in trouble now, buddy.” She’d been a pitcher on the high school softball team. She might suck at darts, but when she had something round and hard in her hands, she was deadly. She had to move to a snowy patch for some ammunition. She squatted, picked up a handful, and quickly formed a ball. She looked at Charley but aimed at Drake, just like when she was trying to get someone out at first base in the middle of pitching. “Ha, ha. You missed.” She grinned. “Only because you jumped out the way.” From there on out it was an all-out war. Between laughter fits, they armed themselves and took aim. More of Drake’s landed, but she got him good a few times. Charley raced to a new pile of snow for more ammunition. “You’ve got a good arm on you, Charley.” “My dad used to play baseball in college.” She glanced at Drake. “I didn’t know that.” “Aw, gee. Yeah. So you see, you don’t stand a chance against me.” Charley’s scream froze both of them. Drake whipped around. “Charley?” His face had gone white. “Where is he?” Her heart slammed against her ribcage. “The sound came from over the ridge.” She and Drake raced toward the edge. About fifteen feet down the sloped ravine lay Charley. “I’m coming down,” Drake called. She wasn’t sure whether it would be better to go with him or find help. Between the slippery rocks and loose stones, even Drake struggled getting down the hillside. Off to the west, a noise sounded. Shit. About a three-hundredpound brown bear was advancing. Drake’s gaze raced between the bear and Charley. “Destiny, go get help.” She didn’t want to leave him, but given the way Charley’s leg was positioned, they’d need a doctor and fast.

**** Adrenaline blasted Drake’s body, almost to a point where his body had become paralyzed. The bear seemed to sense Charley was hurt and came toward him. “Hold on, Charley. I’m coming.” His son wasn’t moving or making a sound. Dear God, let him be okay. Forcing his body to move, Drake edged down the slope at a diagonal, aiming to get halfway between his son and the bear. “Charley, can you hear me?” he yelled. No response. He wanted to race to him, to check his injuries and carry him to safety. If he went there, and the bear charged, he’d never be able to fend off the animal with his son in his arms. Without a weapon, his chances of survival weren’t good, but he had to do everything in his power to keep Charley safe. Deciding to go on the offense, Drake picked up a rock and rocketed it at the bear. The bear scrambled to the side, and the rock landed harmlessly at its feet. Drake waved his arms. “Get! Scram!” The bear ambled closer as if he knew that eventually the stupid human would give up and leave the wounded child to him. Fat chance of that happening. Drake picked up a few more rocks and hurled each one at the target. The large cub growled, stood on his hind legs, and pawed the air. Clearly, he was pissed that Drake blocked access to his next meal. Too damned bad. Drake spotted a stick from under a rock. After extracting it, he worked his way over the rocks toward the bear. Think. If he chased after the animal, and they got into an altercation, he might get seriously injured, allowing the bear clear access to his son. But he sure as hell couldn’t stand there doing nothing while Charley could be bleeding to death. He needed to get to his son. And soon.

Destiny’s phone reception would kick in a few miles down the road. The response time could be anywhere up to an hour. Before he could decide on the best scenario, the cub reared up again and lumbered toward him. His heart raced, and he waved the stick, hoping to frighten the animal away. He’d read his chances were slim, but his son came first. Maneuvering over the rocks proved difficult. Half were covered in snow, a third more in ice, but he needed to position himself between Charley and the bear. One minute they were all throwing snowballs and the next Charley had tumbled over the edge. How had it happened so fast? Drake bent down to pick up a large rock. The small bear came toward him. Drake took aim and threw the rock as hard as he could. Bull’s-eye! The missile slammed against the animal’s head. He prayed the bear would turn tail and flee. Instead the hit seemed to anger him even more. He charged. Fuck. Drake glanced around to note which paths he could take should he need to move and draw the animal’s attention from his son. Drake waved the stick over his head and stood as tall as he could, hoping to appear larger than life. The stupid animal seemed to have one mission. Harm the humans. When the brown bear got within two feet of him, Drake swung the stick and connected with the animal’s midsection. The bear didn’t seem affected at all. He growled and swiped a paw. The brute force landed on Drake’s arm. Good thing he had on an extra-thick jacket. The claw shredded the sleeve but left him unscathed. He stepped back to get out of reach of the next attack, but tripped and landed on his rear. The bear lunged. He swung the stick, but the bear knocked it loose from his hand. He would not fail. Using his feet, he tried to shove the animal backward. While the bear took all of two steps, the attack must have distracted him. Drake had time to get to his feet and move to a small area of flat ground. Maybe if he scrambled back up the hill, the bear would follow, which would draw

it in a different direction. An eye on the wild animal, Drake worked his way upward. The cub followed, but a moment later, the bear got on all fours, danced over the rocks in a flash, and pushed Drake down again. His heart pounding hard, he worked to find another rock. As the bear moved over him, Drake used all his strength to slam the rock into the bear’s face. Another swipe of the animal’s sharp claw grazed Drake’s neck. “Shit.” He scooted on his back on his elbows. The bear hovered over him. At that moment, he knew he was going to die. **** With her heart still in overdrive, Destiny had a hard time checking her cell for a signal and keeping the big car on the road. Icy patches slowed her down. By now, Drake could be lying dead and Charley torn to pieces. Tears streamed down her face as sobs racked her chest. She fought for control but couldn’t keep it together. The damned tears blurred her vision. She stopped the car and tried the cell again. No signal flashed on the screen. “Shit.” She opened her jacket and lifted her shirt to dry the tears. Move. Her only hope was to get far enough down the mountain. Even then, she might not be able to get someone up here fast enough to help Drake and Charley. She put the car in gear and pressed hard on the gas pedal. The back end fishtailed. She squeezed the wheel tight, trying to control the car. Heart still racing, she drove one more mile then stopped again. With shaky fingers, she pressed 911. “This is Connie. What’s the nature of your emergency?” “Thank God.” Destiny swallowed hard and gave her as much detail as possible. “I’ll send out as many people as I can find. Don’t you worry.” Don’t worry? Like that would happen. “Thank you. Tell them to hurry.” Dumb comment since the dispatcher would do her best to

round up folks to help. Despite the cold, her hands wouldn’t stop sweating. Her condition didn’t matter. She had to get back. Turning the car around took about eight small maneuvers, but soon she was heading to the man and child she loved. It took a lot less time returning to the top of the mountain than going down, or so it seemed. Not bothering to shut off the engine, she jumped out of the seat and ran toward the cliff. Her stomach nearly revolted at what she might see. Once at the cliff’s edge, she scanned the area. Oh, my God. It was a little hard to see, but Charley’s leg looked bent, and Drake didn’t look all that healthy either. Blood had coated the sleeve of his jacket. Standing about a hundred feet away was the same cub. Breath held, she waited to see what the wild animal would do. The bear stood on hind legs and let out a loud growl. Drake looked up. Charley was next to him, remaining completely still. She didn’t want to shout to indicate she was there as he had enough to worry about. The bear dropped to all fours and danced across the rocks toward Drake. Then he did the unexpected. Drake picked up two large sticks. With arms waving above his head, he sprinted toward the bear, yelling and screaming. He looked like a lunatic, but maybe that was the point. Drake leaped over rocks, not even seeming to look where he was going. She doubted the most agile athlete could have traveled the obstacle course any faster. When he stood atop a large rock, he banged the sticks over his head, and the bear turned around and ambled off as if bored. Drake dropped to his knees. Destiny waited a bit to make sure the animal wasn’t going to return then picked her way down the hillside. Charley was moaning. Drake seemed fit enough to return over the treacherous terrain, so she focused on the child. When she reached him, the back of his head was covered in blood. Her heart broke. “Oh, Charley.” She dropped to her knees. He groaned, forcing her to study his thin body. His leg did look to

be at an odd angle. “You poor baby.” Drake dropped down next to her. “You shouldn’t be here. The bear has come back twice now.” Three parallel gashes along his neck were caked with blood. She didn’t care about the damned bear. “Oh, Drake.” She craned her neck to get a better look at his wound. “Get back to the car, now, and lock yourself in. When the medical staff gets here, you can show them where we are.” She didn’t want to go, but if she stayed, Drake might become more agitated. “Can’t you move him?” “I think his leg is broken, but if I spot the bear again, I’ll have to carry him up.” She understood why he wanted her to go. If anything bad happened, he’d never forgive himself. His guilt level was already too high. She leaned over and kissed him. “Be careful.” The wind picked up, sending a chill down her arms as she half walked, half crawled up the incline. She wanted to keep watch, but remaining in the car made more sense. They’d packed hot coffee, and she debated bringing some down to Drake, but for his peace of mind she wouldn’t expose herself to more danger. The wait seemed to take forever, but in fact the two forest rangers, Sparks and Evan, arrived in under thirty minutes. She jumped out of the car and ran over to them. “Drake’s with his son, who probably broke his leg.” She also detailed Drake’s injuries. “Thanks. We’ll take it from here.” In other words, they, too, wanted her to get back in the car and stay put. She could only pray that Charley’s leg could be saved.

Chapter Eleven When the two rangers carried Charley up on the stretcher, he was conscious but not very alert. Evan loaded him into the back of the ambulance. “We’re going to have to take him to the hospital in Bozeman. Looks like the leg might need surgery.” Poor Drake was beside himself. “Is he going to be okay?” “Most likely.” Sparks had Drake go with them. “You need to get your neck looked at. It’s an infection waiting to happen.” Drake nodded and handed her the keys. “Can you follow us?” “Absolutely.” He didn’t need to worry about his vehicle sitting at the top of the mountain. Besides, they’d need to be able to get back to Pleasure. Once they arrived at the facility, both he and Charley were ushered in quickly. She went in with Drake. Thank goodness, he allowed the nurse to clean his wound and give him some antibiotics. Fortunately, she said stitches weren’t necessary. Instead, she put butterfly bandages on the wound. After filling out a form, the nurse handed him his paperwork. “You must take it easy for a few days.” Like that was going to happen. The woman didn’t know Drake. They went out to the waiting room to wait for Charley to get out of surgery. Drake stabbed a hand through his hair. “I still can’t believe he just ran off like that.” “I think he was going for more snow,” she said. “Maybe he slipped.” “I should have been more careful.”

Enough was enough. She stood and turned his shoulders to face her. “No man can protect everyone he loves.” “I should have made him stay by my side.” “Drake, you have to let go. Bad shit is going to happen to good people despite their excellent intentions. Life is about learning to deal with what happens.” She stroked his face. “You can’t keep Charley in a bubble his whole life. He needs to learn things for himself.” He pulled away. The rebuff stung. He sat on one of the plastic chairs and dropped his head in his hands. This time, she let him be. Nothing she’d said since the accident seemed to enter his thick skull anyway. The man had been a real hero, and yet all he could focus on was the fact he hadn’t been there when his son slipped over the edge of the ridge. Several hours after Charley was wheeled in, a doctor came into the room. “Mr. Devereaux?” Drake jumped up. “Yes?” “Your son’s leg is going to be fine. He had a compound fracture, so it was good you hadn’t tried to move him. We put in a titanium rod, which in a few years, we can remove. You can go in and see him if you want. He’s still groggy, though.” Drake grabbed her hand, and they followed the doctor’s instructions on how to find the room. Charley was indeed sleepy. He cracked open an eye. “Sorry, Dad.” Drake grabbed his hand. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. How do you feel?” “My head hurts.” His chin wobbled, but when he glanced up and saw her, his lips turned up into a half smile. “You came, too.” “Sure did.” She pulled another chair up and placed it next to Drake. Drake explained to Charley that he’d have to stay in the hospital for a little bit longer, but that he’d be able to come home soon. “What about school?” He almost seemed worried. How cute. She leaned over. “Don’t

you fret. When you get back, I’ll help you catch up.” She rubbed his hand. “You know everyone will want to hear about your adventure.” “Ya think?” “No question about it.” They stayed for a few more hours until Charley couldn’t keep his eyes open any longer. Drake clasped her hand. “Want to get something to eat?” “You bet.” They hadn’t eaten all day. After they finished dinner, Drake was driving her back to her house when his cell rang. “Hey.” He mouthed it was Kurt. They’d spoken after Charley got out of surgery. Why would he call back so soon? Drake’s eyes narrowed slightly and his jaw tensed. The news must not be good. “I’m excited for you. When would you start?” Her heart sank. He disconnected. “Kurt got the promotion.” The promise that the three of them would live happily ever after just crumbled. “When does he leave?” “It’s negotiable.” The food in her stomach churned. Given it was past dusk, she couldn’t see the pain in his eyes, but from his tone, he, too, was devastated. When he pulled in front of her house, she opened her car door, not waiting for Drake. “I need to go.” She didn’t want to talk about the recent events anymore. It was bad enough Charley could have died, that he ended up with a rod in his leg and Drake got four large gashes in his neck. Now a man she loved would walk out of her life. “I’ll call you.” His lack of hope tore her up. She inhaled to keep the tears at bay. “Yes.” As fast as she could, she hurried up the steps and unlocked the front door. She turned back around and waved. Drake drove off.

She stumbled over to the sofa and dropped onto the seat. What had started out as a fun family adventure this morning had turned into a near tragedy. Poor Drake. Seeing his child hurt must have crushed him. First his wife was taken from him, and now Charley was nearly killed. His brave defense was admirable, but seeing him fend off the bear attack drained her emotionally. He’d told her the bear had hovered over him. He was positive he was going to die. Had it not been for a pair of hawks buzzing overhead, the bear might not have been distracted and walked off. With Kurt gone, Drake would have to deal with Charley being on his own after school. When Drake had to work those long hours in Bozeman, who would take care of his son? Kurt said that Drake didn’t want to be in a committed relationship. After what happened today, she wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled away from her sooner rather than later. She got up and went into the kitchen and to boil water for tea. She needed something soothing to calm her nerves. Hoping Kurt had called to tell her about his plan to leave, she checked her phone. Nothing. Damn. How had her world gone from so bright to dim in such a short period of time? **** Drake should have stayed and comforted Destiny, but his thoughts were so scrambled, he’d probably make things worse between them. One thing he knew, he couldn’t have gotten through these last few hours without her support. When Charley had been injured, if there’d been no one to go and get help, he wasn’t sure what he would have done, bear or no bear. Seconds later his home appeared. He hadn’t even remembered making the drive. When he walked into his house, the rooms seemed colder than usual. And more dead. Knowing his brother was leaving cut him more. They were a family, which meant they were a unit that

should never be separated. Damn it. The image of him and Kurt making love to Destiny surfaced. What he wouldn’t give to have that again. But he knew he never would. He hadn’t been able to protect his wife or his child. He had no business wanting to be with Destiny. He fixed a drink and settled down in front of the TV. After half an hour, he turned off the set, worried about his son and how he’d adjust to being alone after school. Without Kurt being here, his life would change. And then there was Destiny. Wonderful Destiny. He loved her. There was no question about that, but she deserved better. The garage door clicked. Kurt was home. In a way, he dreaded the confrontation. His brother waltzed in. “Jesus. You didn’t tell me you got hurt.” He rushed over to him. Drake didn’t want to talk about it. The whole event never should have happened. If Charley hadn’t gotten so close to the edge, he wouldn’t have slipped. “It’s nothing.” “Why didn’t you tell me about your injury?” Kurt slipped onto the chair across from him. “I drove right back from Great Falls and stopped at the hospital. Charley was asleep, but I spoke to his doctor.” He dragged a hand over his mouth. “Jesus, you both could have died.” “I know.” Kurt stood. “You need a refill?” He nodded to his empty glass. Drake handed him his glass. “When did you decide to take the job?” They’d discussed Kurt turning down the offer. Clearly, his brother had no attachment to Destiny or to Charley. “About that.” He handed him the refreshed drink. “I think you and Charley should move to Great Falls with me.” That elicited a bubble of rueful laughter. “Are you crazy?” Kurt sat again. “Look at yourself. You are so fucking afraid of losing someone you love that you aren’t willing to embrace life.” “You talking about Destiny?”

“You in love with someone else?” “No.” Was Kurt right? He slammed back his drink. Christ. His life was falling apart. He needed to get it together. “Do you think you can control everything in your life?” That was ridiculous. “Hell no.” “Then let it go. Give up the ghost.” He waved his hand around. “Camille’s presence is everywhere in this house, down to the wall colors and decorations. Don’t you think it’s time to wipe the slate clean?” “What are you talking about?” The idea of moving shook him to the core. “I don’t want Charley to forget his mom.” “He doesn’t need to be in this house to remember her. Neither do you. You’ve buried yourself in work until you can’t think straight.” Camille had been gone three years. He’d cried after her murder, been obsessed with the authorities capturing the bastard, but even after the criminal was put behind bars, he hadn’t let go. He’d blamed himself. His brother seemed to have all the answers. “What would you do?” “Get the fuck out of town.” “And Charley?” “He’s eight. Eight-year-olds adapt. I want to be in his life.” “Then don’t leave.” “We can use the money. Besides, what about Destiny? Even if you could get your head out of your ass and ask her to move in with you, do you think she’d actually want to live in a home where Camille’s touches are everywhere?” Christ. He hadn’t even thought of that. Yes, he wanted her in his life, but if he lost her, it would surely kill him. His brother slugged back his drink. “I’ve been asking around about jobs for you.” He jerked his attention back to Kurt. “What are you talking about?”

“Your government job is sucking you dry. I realize it’s a noble cause, but you can be a victims advocate for a private firm and make twice the money. That way, you can be home every night. Doesn’t Charley deserve that?” “Yes, but—” “There is no but. I love Destiny. You love Destiny, but you’re married to your job.” “I have to earn a living.” That lame reasoning had haunted him for a while. Private practice would afford Charley more advantages. When Charley got old enough for high school, Drake wanted his son to have the best, and Pleasure might not be the place to provide that. “You know you’d make twice or three times as much in the private sector. You wouldn’t be dealing with the scum of the earth either. It’s not mentally healthy to be in a world where everyone is bad.” He dragged a hand through his hair. “Maybe you’re right.” Kurt’s eyes sparkled. “Damn straight I am.” “Destiny would never quit her job, though.” “Then move after June. When Charley finishes third grade, you can get a fresh start.” “I need time to think about it.” A bubble of hope slowly moved up his body. The lights in the room seemed to brighten. Kurt placed his empty glass and on the coffee table. “You got four months. That time enough?”

Chapter Twelve For the next three days Destiny visited Charley in the hospital, bringing him some worksheets he could do. “I get to go home tomorrow.” “I heard. That’s awesome.” “The doctor said I could go back to school on Monday, too.” “The class has been asking about you.” His face brightened. What a shame Kurt was going to abandon this sweet, little boy, but she understood he couldn’t put his life on hold for his brother’s family. In her dreams, she’d pictured all of them together. Stupid. Drake would never get over his role in Camille’s death, and Kurt had higher aspirations than working from home. He thrived being around people. Pushing aside her own grief, she answered all of Charley’s questions about the kids in the class. When his nurse came in to take his temperature, Destiny left. Not in the mood to cook, she stopped at Mountain View and ordered a dinner to go. For the past few days, she’d wanted to call Drake and Kurt, but they had enough to deal with. Drake had to be going crazy trying to figure out who would take care of his son when he was at work. As for Kurt, if he didn’t care enough to call, then who needed him? I do. After finishing her meal, she took a long, hot shower, deciding that a good book would help take her mind off the men in her life. Someone knocked on her front door, and her pulse soared. She pulled her bathrobe sash tight and peered through the front door window. Drake and Kurt were there. No way! She threw open the

door. They weren’t smiling. Uh-oh. Had Kurt come to say good-bye? A heavy sludge filled her veins. “Hey.” They stepped in. “We need to talk.” Drake’s tone bordered on serious, but there was a hint of hope. “Okay. Can I get you some coffee or a drink?” “No,” they said in unison. Drake took her hand and led her over to the sofa. Kurt followed behind. She had no clue what this was about. With no welcome kiss, it couldn’t be good. “I’ve been an ass,” Drake announced. That’s not what she’d expected. “Excuse me?” He leaned forward, elbows on his knees, hands dangling. “When Charley dashed over to the snowbank to make a snowball, he was running so fast that he slipped over the edge. There was nothing I could have done.” “I know.” Surely, he couldn’t blame himself for the incident. “You don’t understand. I don’t know when it started, but ever since Camille died, I’ve been terrified I’d lose someone else I loved. I thought if I worked hard enough, I could control my life around me, but you know what? I can’t.” “Is that why you became a workaholic?” “Maybe.” Drake sat back. “I need to live my life, not let my life control me.” She wasn’t sure where this was going as she’d said the same thing to him days before. “I’m happy for you.” “What my stupid brother is trying to say, Destiny, is that we both want you in our life. There are no guarantees, but we’re willing to take one day at a time.” Okay, now she was totally confused. “You’re moving.” “True, which is why I’ve convinced Drake to get a new job in Great Falls. It’ll give him and Charley a chance at a new life.” As if the roof had fallen, the weight of his announcement crushed

her. “Oh.” Kurt and Drake jumped up and sat next to her on the couch. “We want you to come with us.” “Have you two been drinking?” They were out of their minds. “I have a job.” Kurt took her hand in his. “Wait until the year is over then come with us.” She’d give anything to be close to them, but she had to work. “Jobs aren’t easy to come by.” “Then you don’t have to work.” “But I want to work.” “You’ll get a job. Even if you can’t find one right away, you can do volunteer work at an orphanage or something until an elementary position becomes available.” That might work. “I’ll think about it.” Drake squeezed her thigh and looked up at Kurt. “I think I know how to convince her to commit.” Kurt smiled. “I get your drift.” Kurt stood, picked her up, and strode toward the bedroom. Laughter bubbled up inside. “What are you two doing?” Drake walked alongside. “Something we should have done a while ago.” The smile on his face stirred her heart. Kurt lowered her to the bed and both men sat next to her. In a matter of seconds, they had her naked. “Hey, this isn’t fair.” Drake cocked a brow. “What’s not fair?” “You need to be naked, too.” He glanced at Kurt and shrugged. They disrobed in thirty seconds. They knelt on the bed with their erect cocks inches from her body. Why did it have to be feast or famine? “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.” Instead of choosing, she grabbed both of them.

Tension rippled through their bodies. She hadn’t touched their warm skin in so long, her body reacted with an intense pussy gush. With only one hand on each man’s cock, she kneaded the flesh until her need to taste them won. “Drake’s waited the longest.” Kurt groaned. Pleasing two men at the same time would take some getting used to. She got up on her knees and positioned herself in front of Drake. She grabbed his cool sac in one hand while continuing to move her other hand up and down his thick cock. Drake dragged his fingers over her scalp. “You have no idea how much I need this.” She loved how his skin’s flavor had a hint of salt mixed with an earthy scent that was definitively Drake Devereaux. With her tongue, she traced the slit on top of the mushroom head. Maybe she delved too deeply because he stilled and pressed hard on her scalp. “Sorry.” “No.” His voice came out strangled. Kurt moved behind her and cupped her cheeks with his palms. She leaned a little forward, and he first ran his cock over her pussy opening then up along her butt crack, bringing with him some of her pussy juice. “Darlin’, I can’t wait to fuck your ass.” The image of that huge fake cock slammed into her. Kurt was bigger than even the largest plug. She couldn’t imagine the intense stretching, but her pussy moistened thinking about taking both men and loving them forever. How incredible that Kurt had come up with such a good solution to their problem. Drake would get out of his house and be able to move on. Charley would adapt and she’d find a new job. Drake clasped her shoulders and drove into her mouth, but never so far that she gagged. His moans turned her on. Then, as if he couldn’t take it anymore, he pulled out. “I want to save myself for your sweet pussy.”

Kurt nudged her rear with his cock. “What say we feast on her for a while? I think she’s been holding out on us.” “That’s not true. I’ve never held out on you two.” Drake touched the tip of her nipple. “According to Kurt, you made him tie you up and spank you.” “I did not.” Not that she hadn’t loved it, though. “He asked if he could tie me up, and I agreed.” Kurt shot a glance to Drake. “I have an idea. Come with me.” He turned back to her. “You, stay here.” Indignation flared until she caught the wink. They disappeared into the living room. Their whispers floated in, but she couldn’t make out the words. They strode back with a large book in hand. Now she was confused. Drake sat on the bed and pulled her over his knees. “We need to teach you a lesson.” “What lesson?” She automatically placed her hands over her butt to protect herself. They seemed too serious about this punishment stuff. “You need to learn to trust us, to understand that what we do is always with your best interest in mind.” “How does spanking me accomplish that?” Not that she minded, but she wanted to understand their reasoning. “We want you so hot that every muscle will relax. The enjoyment will be something you’ve never experienced before.” Kurt removed her hands from her behind, pulled them over her head, and held them with his big hand. She’d been about to counter their argument when the book landed on her ass. She expected the pain to be intense. It did sting, but the heat from the smack raced straight to her pussy. Kurt used his free hand to spank her while Drake used the book. They alternated until she was convinced her ass was redder than hot, spewing lava. Juices oozed down her thigh. Kurt reached between her thighs and probed her with his finger. “I

think she’s learned her lesson.” He then rubbed her bottom. She guessed it was his attempt to soothe her, but the massage made the sensitive skin zing. She never would have guessed that she’d end up liking to be punished. He lifted her off his lap. Drake dropped her onto the bed, rolled next to her, and pulled her on top of him. She expected Kurt to object, but he nestled alongside and continued to rub her rear. As his fingers worked their way toward her crease, Drake gently kissed her. His lips were like water to a drought-ridden plant. He nibbled and sucked as his hands reached between their bodies and played with her tits. She wanted to climb higher and impale herself on Drake’s cock, but as soon as she made her move, Kurt pulled her back down. “Darlin’, for tonight, we set the pace.” He slapped her ass again, only this time the sting went up her back and down again. On the second impact, lust collided with the pain and heightened her excitement. Drake rolled her over. “We want you to lie real still while Kurt and I nibble, pluck, and just enjoy your body. You’ll have plenty of time to touch us. Can you do that?” Like she had a choice? “Yes.” “That’s our girl.” She liked that Drake considered her their girl. He settled near the top half of her body, whereas Kurt took the bottom half. As if they’d choreographed their seduction, they used small strokes around her nipple and near her pussy with one finger. Drake concentrated his attention everywhere but the nipple itself. His omission drove her crazy, which she guessed was the point. Kurt spread her legs wide and had the nerve to touch the outside, lightly petting her auburn curls. Finally, he opened her pussy lips between his thumb and forefinger and ran his fingers up and down its length. Just knowing his mouth was close had her wanting to slide down to meet him. Even she could smell her own feminine perfume. The moment she turned her focus to Kurt, Drake sucked her earlobe and pinched her

nipple over and over in short, hard bursts. A rub across the hardened crest was followed by a caress with his palm. His teeth scraped her earlobe, and then he trailed kisses below her ear over her sensitive spot. Kurt’s hands redirected her attention when he squeezed her ass. She felt as if she were watching a fast-paced soccer match, unsure where to let her arousal build. One little touch sent her pussy into spasms. Slowly, the touching, kissing, and sucking increased in pressure until her climax built to a feverish pitch. “I want you.” She didn’t direct her comment to either one. She had to have both. There must have been a silent signal between the men, because Kurt pulled back as Drake flipped her onto her back. He kissed her hard and full of passion. His cock teased her willing and wet pussy. She grabbed his ass and squeezed tight. The moment she lifted her hips, he plunged in her and her breath lodged in her throat. His large cock slid down her wet channel. Drake closed his eyes. “Jesus, I’ve needed this.” Not any more than me. Pressing her tits upward to revel in the flexing of his hard chest muscles, he slipped a hand under her back and rolled over once more. On top once again, her rear was facing Kurt. He must have gotten off the bed and found some lube, because cool grease kissed her dark hole. “I’ve waited years for this, darlin’.” She clenched her muscles but immediately relaxed them. She wanted to have both men inside her to fill her with all their love. Kurt slipped a finger past the tight love ring. He knew how to move inside her to stimulate those latent carnal nerves. Drake held her hips steady and pumped into her. The angle dragged across her clit, causing sparks of electricity to race down her body. Her juices gushed. Kurt’s finger disappeared. He replaced the digit with his thick cock. She couldn’t wait to feel his body inside hers. With slow, easy

strokes, his cock popped past the tight ring. He held still as if waiting for her to adjust. To let him know she wanted more, she tilted her hips back. His hands found her sensitive nipples and squeezed them tight. Currents of desire slammed into her. Maybe her mind had traveled to Drake’s fast and furious pumping, or else to Kurt’s playful teasing of her nipples, but suddenly he was fully seated in her. Her mouth opened to get more air. “Too much.” They both stilled. “Relax.” Drake kissed her again, and her bottom stopped holding Kurt’s cock hostage. Kurt eased out before driving in again. Soon their rhythm evened out. But when Kurt leaned over and caressed her shoulders, the change in angle set off a whole new set of shockwaves in her ass. He lifted the hair from her neck. “I love how the strands are so straight and thick. You smell like fresh peaches.” No one had ever told her that. Drake pulled her head down to his lips and lifted fully into her. “I love you.” Her heart soared. Never had she thought she’d hear those words. “I love you, too.” He pumped and pumped, driving her higher. With one final plunge from Kurt, her climax slammed into her, sending her tumbling down the plains of desire. Kurt clasped onto her hips, pumped once more, and sent his heated liquid into her. Somehow Drake held out a little longer. He plunged over and over again until his cock pressed against her walls, filling her to their max. His seed filled her. Only then did she realize they hadn’t used a condom. Drake must have seen the realization on her face. “What’s wrong? Did we hurt you?” “We didn’t use a condom.” “We know.” They’d always been so cautious before. “Why?” Kurt pulled out with a pop, and Drake rolled her onto her back.

His cock slipped out. He nodded to Kurt, who jogged to the bathroom and retrieved a small towel. Drake cleaned her then wiped himself down. “We were serious about you moving to Great Falls.” She wanted to know their exact intentions. Not only would her parents be shocked if she moved in with two men, it wasn’t fair to Charley to live in sin. “What would my role be?” Drake grinned. “Would you consider being my wife?” Her heart got lodged in her chest. This was a dream come true. “Yes.” But something was missing. “What about Kurt? I love him, too.” Kurt leaned over, pulled back her hair, and kissed her neck. “Since Drake’s the oldest, you’ll technically be his wife, but I will abide by the same rules. It’s like you’ll be married to both of us.” All the practical issues confronted her at one. “What will Charley think of this? Would I sell my house? When would we leave?” Both men laughed. “We have a few months to figure this out. How about we all take a nice, long shower and hammer out some of the details.” She liked the getting wet part, and the hammering and pounding sounded just fine by her. “You two certainly have thought this through. Have you decided if you want any more children?” While she loved Charley like her own, she wanted a slew herself. Kurt leaned forward. “I’m thinking three more.” Drake grinned. “I’m up for that, but I can see trying every day for the rest of our lives.” She’d end up with twenty if she wasn’t careful. “I’m game! But I do want to work for as long as I can. I love being with children.” “We couldn’t agree more. We’re all for whatever makes your life fulfilling.” “And that’s why I love you so.” Both men raced to kiss her, and they turned her on all over again. Life couldn’t get any sweeter.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Unlike most other authors, I started writing late in life. Writing stories in high school and college was not for me. Only after I graduated did I fall in love with romance novels. For the next twenty years, I read voraciously. It got to a point where my book-buying habits cost as much as my groceries. At that point, my husband suggested I write a book. Hey, it looked easy, right? All the stories started in the same spot (hero and heroine at odds) and ended the same way (happily ever after). Only it was anything but easy. Eleven years and fifteen completed romantic suspenses later, I finally published. I never would have gotten that far had it not been for two local chapters whose generous members shared their amazing wealth of knowledge.
