Introduction I got more than a little confused when I was trying to sort out what books went where in this collection. Some of the books may or may not be collections of novellas & stories. It’s been difficult to sort out what book belongs to which series. Anyway here’s a summary of how I eventually worked it out. I hope you find this useful and I apologise for any mistakes. I’ve organised the series in rough order of publication – although some series have had extra books added at a later time, and others overlap. I have not found any information on which is the best order to read the books in order of publication, or according to the internal chronology. Whichever you choose, I think you need to read the whole of Birthright first. The book “Birthright: The Book of Man” spans a vast period of time, and provides a skeleton on which to hang the rest of the books which are set in this universe. Although this book forms part of the Far Future History Series the chronology of the various chapters of this book overlap and intertwine with other series. The two other books in the FFH are set in a much narrower time frame, but both are much, much later than the beginning of “Birthright.” Series 4 – The Galactic Comedy is totally missing from this collection. Series 7 – Dragon America only consist of the one book at the moment, but more are planned. Unfortunately I can’t find a copy of Rebellion for this collection.
