Divinity Legends: Unlocking the Power

Summer 1982 With a gasp Divinity Holden woke drenched in sweat with the bed in disarray as she tried to catch her breath. The dream had come again but this time it was much more vivid and real. In this one she had been running from something she couldn't define that was terrifying. It had caught up with her and she was dying. She woke before it could take her. Shakily she pushed back her thick long curly hair from her face as she got up. Unsteady on her feet Divinity made her way to the large bathroom in her spacious four-bedroom apartment. The bright light blinded her as she turned it on. Blinking she looked at her face in the mirror. Her green eyes looked bright and glassy. Sweat rolled down the side of her caramel colored skin and down her nose. Her sculptured cheeks were flushed and her full mouth was pulled into a grimace. Either she was being chased to death or being made love to until she died. Divinity laughed harshly. Dying while making love wasn't her idea of fun. Since she couldn't remember the last time she had an orgasm that wasn't faked Divinity wanted to live to do it all over again and again. Raising a delicate hand she covered her mouth in shock. These dreams had to stop it was affecting her thinking as well as her work. She couldn't have that. She had worked to hard for her freedom and to get her dream and open her own business. A smile curled her lips as she thought of her store Oasis. She made her living as a landscaper and was finally getting her name recognized for quality work and beautiful designs. Shaking her head Divinity thought of her family’s shock that after her divorce from the marriage of five years of hell. She had packed up and moved to Sunset Valley, California leaving behind a lucrative career as banker. They didn't understand how a woman of twenty-nine years old could want to start over in a whole new field. What they didn't know was she needed her sanity, dignity and her dreams to survive. Three short years later she not only learned her choose life career she was a success at it. A year and a half ago she had bought the building that now housed her business and moved in upstairs renovated it to a fabulous spacious four bedroom apartment. At thirty-two she wasn't doing so bad for herself. Except for the dreams. Divinity smile faded as she thought about what they could mean. Even as a child she had had dreams and some came through even though she told no one but her Grandmother Destiny. years earlier understanding. She had no one she could ask about these dreams. A loud sound made her jump. Laughing at her silliness for being afraid of the buzzing sound of alarm clock Divinity hurried into the other room to shut it off. Seeing the time she hurried gathering her things and going to the bathroom to get ready for her day. She had a lot to do. An hour later, Divinity stood in the middle of her shop excitement thrumming through her veins. Today she would be finished with the Brooks place. Shawna Brooks as a surprise had hired her to redesign the gardens of her brother Jolan Brooks. At the thought of Jolan Brooks Divinity shuddered. He was a sensual delight with a capital S and D. His sensual features, captivating smoke gray eyes and firm muscular body made your pulse leap and your body pray for just a nibble. Divinity had met him right after she bought the store. Jolan had wanted someone to treat his lawn and gardens. It was her first big job and she had overseen it herself. Being in contact with him for everyday for over a month was more than any sane woman could stand. When the job was done Jolan had been pleased with the results and since then he had them as a standing order go in once a week to keep his gardens. Usually she avoided going to his house. At six feet –four inches of luscious male Jolan was one long entanglement she didn't want in her life. The only times she had glimpsed him was when he came to the store to buy supplies or some new plants which was rarely since he traveled so extensively. Since he was away she had agreed after Shawna had begged her to do the job herself. Shawna and she had become friends after they meet once when she came in with Jolan. Shawna came in frequently and they often had lunch, shopped and did things together. The phone rang cutting off her thoughts. Picking it up she smiled at the throaty voice on the other end. "Hey girl what ya doing?" "Getting ready to go finish up your surprise to you know who." Divinity avoided saying his name out loud whenever possible. It caused the most unusual reaction. "Jolan. Damn why are you so afraid of saying his name and seeing him for the matter. He doesn't bite unless you tell him to. " Shawna said dryly. 4 Copyright © 2005 by Taige Crenshaw

"Hold up miss thang. I'm not afraid of no man especially Jolan Brooks." A loud crash came from behind her. Divinity winced at her carelessness in saying his name. Afraid to look she did it anyway. Turning she winced as she saw the mess of flowerpots that had been hanging from the ceiling a minute earlier. Cursing softly Divinity thought of all the times something weird had happened when she said Jolan's name. At first she had thought nothing of it until Shawna has pointed out to her after she had almost been cut bald by her hairdresser as they talked about Jolan. She had said his name and Divinity could swear the scissors the hairdresser were using jumped at her like it had a mind of it's own. Thanks to her quick moving it didn't do too much damage. Shawna comment had got her thinking and she had thought of all the times she had said his name and the things that happened afterwards. Usually something disastrous. She wasn't usually a superstitious person but this time she couldn't help but take precautions. Since then she avoided saying his name. Shawna thought it was hilarious and Jolan didn't comment when she started calling him Mr. Brooks. She had no problem with his last name it was just his first name that tried to do bodily injury to her. Shawna sighed and she could hear the suppressed laughter in her voice. " What happened?" Shaking her head Divinity told her and went over to clean it up pulling the garbage can with her. Knelling on the floor she listened to Shawna talk. After a few minutes her attention was drawn back to Shawna. "So you need to work at least another two days on the gardens. Weed them or something." she said in an innocent tone. Knowing Shawna as well as she did she smelt something. A big fat set up. "Why I wonder do you want me to stay at Jolan place an extra two days that isn't needed." "Aww. Come on Nitty you love it up there in all that woodlands. Go and bond with nature or something. Take your time it's not rush." Shawna was correct she loved Jolan house. got a break from the work she was doing in his place. What she hadn't told Shawna was every time she went there it got harder for her to leave. Languidly Divinity replied. "Hmm... you're right. It is a wonderful place and so beautiful to." She talked about the place a few minutes and listened to Shawna sounds of agreement. She could imagine the smug look on Shawna face. Changing the subject quickly Divinity said. "When is Mr. brooks coming back." "Friday.. Oh damn it Nitty." Shawna cursed some more. Laughing at her smugly Divinity figured as much Shawna was constantly trying to throw them together. Shaking her head Divinity Said firmly. "I'll be done today. Give it up, it's not going to happen. Why -" Shawna cut her off. "You need to get laid that's why. And as much as I hate to think about it I can think of no one better than my brother to get those fires blazing." At her blunt statement Divinity felt her mouth drop open. For conservative Shawna to say such a thing was rare. “Damn Sha. What’s got into you?” Shawna answered quickly. “Frustration with both you and my big lug of a brother. You need to get it on in the worst way and he needs to put down roots or hell put in his root. Come on when you two get in a room I feel like I’ve been in an electric storm.” Surprised Divinity had nothing to say. Shawna continued. “It’s all I can do not to scream ‘ get a room or shoot lock the door and do it right here’. Some of us don’t need that kind of thing when they have no prospects and don’t want any.” Flabbergasted Divinity laughed at her disgruntled tone. Shawna grumbled on about selfish people who didn’t have the decency to keep their hormones in control or at least give in so other won’t get scorched as Divinity's mind wandered. Could what Shawna really say be true? She and Jolan created so much heat that everyone felt it. Divinity deiced it didn't matter she couldn't afford to get involved with him. phone before Shawna could say another work Divinity looked down blindly at the flowers. "She's right." Heart pounding Divinity turned her head. Her eyes widened as she looked at the most amazing little boy. He looked to be no more than seven years old. His all white hair flowed behind his touching the ground. His face was handsome but it wasn't what caught her attention. It was his eyes that were such a pale gray they appeared almost translucent. The wise look in his gaze was that of an old man. He grinned a mischievous look. "Breath." Her breath came out in a whoosh. She hadn't realized she hadn't been breathing. The little boy cocked hid head to the side and watched her. Divinity wasn't afraid his look inspired such calmness she relaxed. "About what." She asked. He laughed briefly. "Jolan." He stepped to the side seconds before a vase flew off the table and shattered where he had stood. Divinity blinked sure she had seen things. The little boy crossed his hands behind his back and expression cleared becoming sober. Uncomfortable under his serious scrutiny Divinity asked. "Where are your parents?" A sad look filtered across his face before it cleared and he replied. "I was sent by your Grandmother Destiny." At the name Divinity started and looked at him narrowly. This was some kind of trick. Her grandmother was dead and she didn't remember ever seeing this child before. Tiredly the little boy rubbed his face before putting his hand behind his back again and looking at her. His cool gaze pinned her to where she kneeled. "She has a message for you." Shakily she tried to form the words to ask. Clearing her throat she asked. "What?" In a lyrical tone he replied. do." He dropped gracefully to the floor before her and kneeled touching his head to the floor then stood going to the door. Shaking Divinity rose. "Who are you?" He opened the door and looked back at her the sun obstructed his face making his seem to be a very handsome man for a minute then it cleared and the little boy looked at her again. "I am Cahill. The Shecian and Brequra." He went out the door disappearing around the corner. Whispering in the silence Divinity said. "Keeper of Secrets and Protector." She didn't know how she knew what those two words meant but she knew the translation. A thought accorded to her. Going quickly to the door she tested the lock and found it was locked, as it should have been. She hadn't opened the door yet. Placing her hand over her mouth she looked out the glass door. In the distance she saw a little boy but couldn't make out his features. He gave a bow then he was gone. Backing away until her back hit a cou7nter Divinity gripped it. She was losing it. Shaking her head she chalked it up to wishful thinking. She wanted her Grammy's advice and found a way to get it. Turning she stopped and looked at the clean area where the shattered remnants of the flower was. It was gone and the flower hung in place gently rocking in the breeze. The youthful sound of laughter floated on the air making her shiver. Believe. A young voice said. Jumping and looking around frantically Divinity rushed over grabbed her keys and things. She had to get away and get her hands into some rich soil to level her out. Five hours later, Divinity sat back stretched her aching back and looked at her hard work. The gardens were lush with roses of all kinds, wildflowers and various flora and fauna. In the center was a rock formation pond with silver and red fishes. Along the trail to the natural spring was a border of flowers that blended in seeming to be there all along. Pleased with all her work paying off and her mind cleared Divinity put away her things. Since this was her last day here she was going to explore some more Walking along the trails leading into the denser woods she noticed a trail she hadn't noticed before. place seep into her. Smiling happily she picked a flower inhaling it's sweet scent as she walked. Stopping she saw light peaking through from her right. Following her instincts she wen that way stepping through the dense foliage she gapped at the oasis she had stepped into. The grass was thick and lush. The scent f flowers soft and mellow. The scent of water was fresh and tangy as it fell from beautiful waterfall in glowing greens, reds and blues. "This is beautiful." Taking off her shoes Divinity sunk her toes into the grass. It tickled her feet. Happiness filled her and a feeling took her. Moving into the center of the clearing she started to move. Unconsciously she twirled sensuously then slowed down into a provocative dance. Her hands over her head she closed her eyes and let the sound of nature be her music. Bring her hands down slowly she unbuttoned first one button then the next until she felt the cool breeze on her skin. She discarded her shirt then did the same with her pants, bra and underwear. The cool air touched her skin warming it. Rotating her hips in her distant mind she felt a tremor shake the ground but ignored it going with the feeling. Moving slower hips rotating arms moving slow and sure. A noise intruded and Divinity opened her eyes and locked with smoke gray eyes. Somehow she knew Jolan would come. Watching him Divinity continued dancing speeding up her movements a little. Beckoning him to her. He was hers and she wanted him now. Jolan came to her naked and ready. Mirroring her movements. Closer and closer he came until he touched her and they moved together against each other. A sigh feel from her lips as his skin touched hers warming it. He raised her head and looked into her eyes before he kissed her. A scream ripped from her lips as his breath scorched down her throat. His mouth scorched her. Hot and wet. His tongue stroked deeply. Eating at his tongue Divinity could taste an elusive essence she should know but couldn't define. Along this mouth she licked inside and around drawing in the clean fresh taste from his lips. It changed becoming darkly sensual driving her into frenzy. Kissing him wildly she sucked in everything he could give. Jolan growl vibrated in her mouth as she felt his firm hand of her thigh raising it along the side of his hot hips until the long hard, hot length of his penis was pressed against her aching slit. The feel of him against her was indescribable. Rubbing against him hard she whimpered at the brush of his erection against her sensitive clit. He was moving to slow she needed. filled gaze. The look on his face changed becoming intent almost preparatory. Holding her firmly he lifted her. Instinctively she wrapped her legs around his waist opening against him. With a hiss of pleasure he knelt then laid her down on the dewy grass blanketing her body with hers. He drove into her plush flesh in one sure stroke. Divinity ran her nails digging into his hot firm side as she wrapped her legs around him pulling him in deeper. She was full to overflowing. Jolan rubbed against her core urgently then started to move. Fast and deep. He sunk down onto her body and kissed her eating at her tongue. Meeting him Divinity felt the heat rise to consume her in it's angry grip. Her body struggled for release and breath. Her dream was coming true she was dying she could feel it. A scream ripped from her as she felt the sharp bite of the grass on her like glass. Blearily she wrenched her lips from his then looked to the side and saw the grass littered with blood flowing from under her. "Oh.. help me.. " Her words came out as a whisper instead of a shout. Looking back at Jolan she saw the look of heat on his face. He drew back then sunk deeper into her. Screaming Divinity pushed into him. Countering his movements. Her fingers dug in and she felt t break skin and the blood trickle down her fingers. A strange sensation filled her like something trying to break free. Shudders racked her as he continued to move, stroking within her. Closing her eyes she hung on to the pleasure that had them in it’s grip. The rhythm changed as Jolan pressed deeper into her rubbing against her clit. His thrusts alternating between shallow then deep. Holding tightly she countered him on each one. Ragged puffs of sweet air blew into her face from his lips. Her breath got shallower as the frenzy of there bodies increased. It was just out of reach. Suddenly he stopped. Opening her eyes she viewed his shrouded in green mist. Words fell from her lips. "Heat is what is needed to complete what I must do. Rolling fire will consume us and make two no more but one. Soul, heart and spirit." She laid her hand over his heart and felt the rhythm change to match her own. Jolan watched her saying nothing for a second then in his deep voice he spoke. He thrust deep once, twice and on as the ground bucked under them with each one. A bright light flashed up around them streaking into the sky and away. Screaming Divinity felt the pull of thousands awaking screaming as they went over in a blaze of heat and power. Jolan harsh shout rocked him as his upper body bucked backwards under the power driving him deeper into her. Gold, reds, greens, blues, and gray light rained from the sky surrounding them. His body pumped and pumped releasing it’s sperm. Her body rippled under him. Her fingers dug into the grass burrowing until reach fresh soil. Images flashed through her making her body buck with its intensity. His body shuddered along with hers. The tremors stopped and Jolan collapsed against her breathing harshly. Divinity drew her hand out of the soil and wrapped them around him. A flash from her left made her glance over. On the hill above where they were stood a lone image of a child. The air wavered and she knew he had thrown a shield up to stop any devastation their joining may have caused. The figure collapsed. Raising one hand in the direction of the crumpled figure she let the power flow from her. She felt his heartbeat again then saw him get shakily to his feet. You will do what must be done my friend Cahill. Live for all of us. His tired voice stirred in head in response. I will. He turned and walked away. Divinity’s heart ached for what he would have to face. Glancing back at Jolan she saw him watching toward the same direction she had. Then he turned and looked at her. Her breath caught at his eyes, which were onyx. She knew her eyes were the same and it would fade. He smiled. Divinity laughed. "Now you can't get rid of me." Jolan chuckled. "Why would I want to. You blow my mine cremicalos." Wide eyed at his use of the ancient term Divinity started at him with a silent question. He nodded. She breathed out deeply. Through passion and blood the divinity has been given back their power. "So you know everything huh." The smug grin on his face was adorable. He jerked back looking at her wide-eyed. Using her power she sent a blast of heat from inside her vulva through his penis. She watched it glow through him as he shuddered in pleasure. His face went darkly sensual. Divinity did it again intensify it. “Divinityyyyy!!!” he scream echoed through the meadow into the heavens. Her sultry chuckle followed then only the sounds of pleasure were heard across time.
