Doch was geht's mich an.
ausgesprochene Geisteskrankheiz an. Rob legte seine Last ab.
Ist was geschehen?" „Ja." „Was sagst du da? Der Fremde lebt?" Rob nickte. Was sagt er?"
Also mußte er zunächst hinauf.
„Ein Mißverständnis also?" meinte Sun zögernd.
Sun Koh erschrak. „Was? Allerdings..." Sun Koh unterbrach. „Was sagtet Ihr eben?
„So also? Dort wohnen also die Amerikaner?" „Ja, seit einem Jahr. Ihr Schiff ging unter." „Etwa die .Oakland'?" „So hieß das Schiff." „Ah, wieviel sind es?" „Vier."
„Nein." „Also schon die erste Ausnahme.
Rob blickte ihn erschrocken an.
Kennan starrte ihn entgeistert an. „Kinderspiel?
Deshalb w a r e n sie hier gelandet. K e n n a n ü b e r w a n d allmählich seinen Schock. Hal Mervin w i n k t e ab. „Was bedeutet das?"
„Ach so", platzte Hal heraus.
Was sagen denn die andern dazu?"
Hallo, wer seid Ihr und was wollt Ihr?" Nimba schlug sofort nach, schlug noch e i n m a l . . . 32
„So lala.
fragte
Was willst du eigentlich alles mitnehmen?" Sie schüttelte leicht den Kopf. „Ich kann nicht, Pap. Erledige du alles. Aber h ö r e . . .
Bis dahin darf nichts geschehen, was dich ernstlich an Rob bindet.
Kennan will Euch Zeit geben, Euch in die große Welt einzuleben."
Was sagen Sie dazu?"
Sun sah ihn nachdenklich an. „Was wird Mac dazu sagen?"
. . " „Ah, also doch.
„Nein." „Dann also — viel Glück in der Welt." 42
„Was heißt hier Schwindel?" entrüstete sich Hal.
„Wo?"
„Was halten Sie davon?" 49

Bitte greifen Sie mich an!"
